Can't say why the colonies -- England during the revolutionary war so we really need to take responsibility.

And teach our children what it means to -- American.

You know it's and -- way it's a fun thing it's you know the mother the elephant skewed I wanna know how -- inspired us so get to that in a second but.

It's obviously a good a good way and we have all these other characters out there he got you know Elmo and and and Sesame Street characters -- -- don't have one that actually teaches American history is that why you decided to.

You know create the elephant.

That's right I knew I needed.

A unique character to capture the interest and attention of small children.

And I considered a lot of animals I considered hippos and bunnies and giraffes but in the end I couldn't resist that adorable -- -- -- -- one for the Democrats see though it.

That the dummy that -- hit no I'm kidding him kisses -- -- Definitely -- -- well as I say this this book as a pro American black and it's not meant to be a conservative book her opponents that's for -- all kids -- a celebration of our patriotic values down.

One of the things that I think he's -- you learn about this to what extent do we spend too much time.

Teaching about this culture this culture this culture but we don't teach about America that's right the -- if you look at the curriculum in schools I agree and it's vitally important that we learn about our early American experience.

And that's that land of the Pilgrim's Pride is about -- the elephant discovers.

Colonial America how our nation began.

How are characteristics and traits -- started as Americans how we became American.

Are you glad in one sense that you're out of this political rat race.

Well it would -- It is not easy it was exhilarating we -- blast to be part of the process.

And I learned so much on the campaign trail shot and I do believe that the majority of Americans are inherently good and honest people.

And I do believe that the majority of the country.

Is truly optimistic about our future it's all right well congratulations destined to be a best seller and -- -- you kids are gonna love this -- the Olsen.
