Hello there I'm meteorologist Janice Dean taking a look at your temperatures across the southwest.
What a discrepancy between Phoenix at ninety and 63.
In Flagstaff seven in Los Angeles 72 in Reno that 86.
In El Paso.
We've got a pretty big system that is just offshore making its way.
Into California and eventually the southwest and this system is gonna continue to move eastward -- from the Rockies.
And -- the central plains.
The threat for severe weather this weekend -- that -- system that's gonna affect much of the country you can see the showers -- thunderstorms.
Even a higher elevations snow.
As we head towards Friday and into Saturday.
This system gets better organized as it pushes across the Rockies and eventually into the plain states so again for today.
Parts of California.
In -- the southwest showers thunderstorms.
Some heavy mountain snow as well and then eventually the system is going to give us the potential for severe weather.
Heading into the weekend for the central plains and the midwest so we'll certainly keep you posted.
Severe weather center is going to be active this weekend.
