Not a top story tonight for years ago it was Sarah Pailin.

-- debating Joseph -- All you gotta do is get down you issue me in Wilmington -- go to kiddies restaurant or -- and -- people with rewrite spend a lot of time and you ask anybody in there whether or not the economic and foreign policy issues ration.

Has made -- better off in the last eight years.

Now say it ain't so Joseph there you go again pointing backwards again you prefaced your -- -- -- The Bush Administration now doggone it let's look ahead and tell Americans what we have to plan to do for them in the future.

-- Governor Palin joins us now from Scottsdale Arizona first -- all.

What are vice president Biden's weak points in a debate.

Oh my buddy Joseph Biden you mean besides his penchant for just making stuff.

Up.

Eight I think he's kind of known for some of that -- eight.

Who -- -- -- of someone's weaknesses let me talk about his strength his strength would be his unique ability it seems to say.

The wrong thing at just the right time and that really helps to illustrate in illuminate his boss Barack Obama's.

Very odd decisions and policies and judgments target.

He's got to get them there -- you guys if you wanna go into -- billion got to get up.

-- into that area now when you were preparing to debate.

You have to get -- like I say it's natural it's in the navy has been fundamental over these.

For decades.

But usually -- -- -- it again in the political arena.

He -- make that many -- with you I mean a basic the -- the Palin Biden debate was -- you.

Held draw now as -- -- was an -- -- screwed up now when you when you were preparing to debate him governor.

Did they say look.

This is how you go about it this is how you get Joseph Biden off track because look he's got stuff that he's gonna say even preparing you prepared.

Brian has been preparing.

How do you get him out of his game how do you get him off track.

Well that wasn't my goal was to -- -- -- off track during my eight VP run out on the Republican ticket for years ago.

In fact the strategy handed need by the McCain campaign was.

I had -- had no cards probably -- six inches high note card same here memorize Beason at all had to do with that.

For the most part foreign policy issues -- which we're not.

On top of the ticket in terms of issues at the time it was the economy we should talk more about the economy and how Barack Obama would.

-- opportunities for economic recovery at the time instead.

I was asked to memorize a whole lot of things about foreign policy that.

Weren't as relevant in the voters' minds as the economy went so what did the note cards over number of days and finally realizing how.

Inconsistent and a bit convoluted some of the answers -- you know at at some point the candidate just has that kind of -- -- and decide.

I will stand on my own record my own philosophy my own principles.

Making sure that they coincide with the top of the tickets -- And done we'll go from here ended.

Debate tell you enroll you through the cards away -- just -- yourself and and that's what happened that tonight.

The vice president is gonna throw try to throw and I'm sure he did this to you -- let me ask you that question first.

You're considered a neophyte obviously governor of Alaska -- now on the national stage first similar note to Ryan.

He's -- first time that he's really had this kind of scrutiny.

Did Biden trying to shake you do you remember if he tried to intimidate you at all.

No I don't think so Paul -- little bit different scenario you he -- his seven terms in congress and -- you know you will be explain I'm sure what some of the congressional decisions that have been made that have.

Perhaps contributed to some of the problems but then again Joseph Biden was in the senate part.

Decades and he'll have to explain some of his past records to as a member of the legislative branch that have helped.

-- create some economic woes in our country create -- over.

-- -- an overbearing fair argument and relying oh million mile -- cars and both individuals will have to talk about policies and their past records okay.

But higher remember when you won't get out in a debate eat if one of the first things -- -- -- can I call you -- member of that kind collegial.

Those little disarming you kind of disarmed them a little bit mom -- -- -- the question -- -- that kind of thing.

Do little personal touch I thought that was wise of you to do it you know you basically -- got out of the policy is -- GO.

And to see how we -- I expect some of that tonight.

-- the big things going to be Medicare -- Bosnia right now.

-- they're gonna come on he's gonna try to.

Hanging.

-- gonna try to hang Ryan with Medicare that's what he's gonna try to end the -- said look you want her to seniors -- -- I heard all people.

And why Ryan -- got a reply in a way that's not to pin -- he's not too much policy he's got to say something.

Puts him on the offense puts Ryan on the offense so I expect that to be a big deal tonight do you think Medicare is going to be a big deal.

We'll be a big deal but what Joseph Biden will do which I think it's kind of stereotypical of all of Democrats who play on emotions instead of the day had a of the facts the numbers that speak for themselves what Paul Ryan and the Republican ticket represents.

Will be at this fact that bill that if you want Medicare to continue if you want Social Security to continue if you want these safety nets in our society.

Then we have to make sure that we have out a budget that is you have to selling -- allowed these programs to not become -- to live with and Joseph Biden will try to skip all that.

-- you have to sell it CC Ryan's got to sell it and he's got to sell it in a way.

That puts the vice president on the defense and and it's a tactical game it's like a chess game.

Did you enjoy that debate last question -- it was -- fun for you to do that and how did you feel immediately afterward relieved how did you feel.

I loved it the debate and I wish that we would've had more than one remember at the time bill I have a sixteen week old baby when I jumped on the national scene and I had a son my oldest two.

I was deployed in I -- at the -- so I was able to keep things in perspective coming from up a personal point of view that tipped things.

I hit it in perspective knowing what really mattered and knowing how important it was that we articulate what our solutions were going to be forward that future generation diet is -- nervous -- -- nervous out in my life we nervous.

No no not era hasn't -- not not at all.

Did it did I let -- -- you need to do read a book going broke as I explained all that background stuff about the VP debate.

At Gerson a hilarious and to -- there that.

I think talk about what it was like to prepare and down.

How wonderful it was to have wonderful people around me in the vice presidential debate didn't those good people many of whom are still by my side.

It was some good recollection's in the book and I government thanks your -- -- --
