Uncommitted voters -- Mitt Romney won the debate last night by a margin of 2021.

That's according to CBS news poll that was taken last night.

But of course polls change with people's opinions and so we want to hear some specific details about why.

Mitt Romney won so big with those uncommitted voters so we -- Five Fox News reporters out to debate watch parties across the country -- -- -- out from Florida to Fresno and we are going to be hearing from them.

And the next half hour I'm Peter -- in Washington I've commandeered Bret -- studio until he gets back from Denver.

And we will get to those -- reporters and a little bit but before we do and it's want to talk really quick about why.

The young uncommitted voters are so important back in 200830%.

Of everybody who voted.

With under thirty years old and Fox News exit polls -- that 66%.

Of the under thirty set picked.

Obama only 32%.

Picked Senator McCain and right now though a Gallup poll shows the president is losing steam.

With young voters only 59%.

Say that they'll choose Obama which is still a clear majority but it's noticeably down.

From where he was four years ago and that offers Mitt Romney and opening because -- young voters stay home.

That's not good for the president and so we well with that head on down to Florida -- -- -- state.

That is very important at 29 electoral votes Senator Obama took them all on its way to the White House in 2008.

But things have been so good since -- right now in the sunshine state.

88000 jobs fewer than there were in 2008 and the unemployment rate is above the national average eight point eight.

Percent and with that we will head on down to Mary Quinn who is in Orlando marry you watched the debate at a sports -- last night.

As -- or people saying.

Yeah that's exactly right and I know.

But you're just talking about says that people -- Mitt Romney won last night but a lot of undecided voter decides not to last night when -- great they really.

Think that it wasn't time I -- to debate watch party here in downtown Orlando got dropped from the younger I'm undecided voters.

We're very excited before the debate started here what Barack Obama and their Romney had today but -- -- -- -- got to stay really.

I didn't know who won the debate.

Monday got President Obama did a pretty good job but not enough overwhelmingly convinced them that they -- support him in November so we're gonna take -- let's get some reaction.

From some of those people and we also got some reaction.

Well one of the surprising stars overnight at least as far as we're concerned and that's -- -- -- something like.

The nerve I think a lot of people who like DBS we have to keep things like education for all children.

Just like Sesame Street and public television decrying big expectations for.

-- -- -- -- -- All when he performed around the -- they didn't really get organized and Amazon -- held serve well enough.

Romney actually did very well you looked very sharp he looked presidential and Obama Obama's on this response is look like he was a little bit tentative but he recovered are usually very well yeah.

-- tied to me.

And it's I really summed up the feeling from a lot of these.

I'm undecided voters it seems like there's still looking for a little bit more before they decide -- they're gonna vote for him.

Big -- I've got a question Korea last night the president came out he was allowed to speak first.

And he wished his wife Michelle who is sitting in the audience that happy anniversary and then Mitt Romney had this funny joke very -- well Mr.

President I'm sure.

They -- thrilled to be spending this romantic evening with me and everybody in the audience -- In Denver -- that something.

That people at a sports bar watching the debate young people actually got a kick out of -- that they just -- The president and the GOP challenger Mitt Romney just to kind of get down.

To the facts.

Well I think there -- only a few moments really of laughter that I've learned a lot party last night that was definitely one of them yeah.

Young people find things -- seeing.

That few raining you know exactly what I hear about PCs and that's the thing -- their Clark.

Well we like to have fun with -- as well I'm not young daughter myself so it was definitely appreciate it a lot of -- and they got right in the AC joint down.

A student at the University of Florida back in 2008 when Senator Obama became President Obama how would view.

How do you gauge the level of enthusiasm among the kids that the twenty somethings.

Now vs then.

How do you at the University of Florida an accident back in 2000 -- the university of Illinois at Q school a little bit yeah.

Thousands do so isn't really good student body and I really got his feet.

On the youth -- mobilize never -- an exciting.

Really it's.

I didn't come out on then senator Barack Obama and I can tell -- the biggest difference I'm seeing back from 2008 when I didn't handle -- now being back.

In Florida where he gave him that the people I talked to -- you support for Obama's millionaire.

And yeah I think they're lacking one eliminate hockey misguided at the last few Eagles defense you voted for Obama did not amazing that he's leading in the same.

Not since the relative performance.

Because he's simply better than -- around.

One final question Korea Mary did it seem like -- folks who were out the young folks out at this borrower debate watch party.

Where the Democrats there to root for President Obama and the Republicans -- just a root for Mitt Romney or did it seem like.

Stated they were actually open minded and listening to what the candidates had to say and preparing.

To make an informed decision based on that.

Oil indefinitely on equal supporters of both parties funny I'm Ronnie supporters honey I'm Obama supporters.

And they sure got their tears and even though they weren't allowed it's here I'm a national debate hall in Denver people exactly fearing for their candidate when they had and -- Are are what they found what the successful reaction to the question itself on both pretty hard evidence supporting their -- -- -- Really focus on issues it wasn't a whole lot of back singer Mike and it's better than yours or anything like that common there wasn't a quite a few of undecided voters -- here.

Listening and focus as well.

Kerry win in the swing state of Florida thank you very much for example Atlanta -- getting -- and talking to us just now.

Coming up we -- going to talk to two more Fox News reporters who were at coffee shops last night stay tuned.

Sorry Jim I'm gonna stop the subsidy to PBS I'm gonna -- of the things I like PBS a lot of big bird actually like -- to.

-- -- And if you can -- and part of a computer on FaceBook -- Twitter that.

It's like people are talking about big bird Mary -- just mentioned that down in Florida -- sports bar she was watching the debate at a lot of folks were laughing out loud when Mitt Romney mentioned.

Big bird and very interest saying on Google last night the top four searches during the debate.

Number one Simpson -- number two Dodd-Frank.

Number three who is winning the debate and number four.

Big bird now to get some more perspective we're gonna go down to.

Patrick Manning El Paso, Texas where he watched last night at a coffee shop Patrick tell -- what you saw.

Yet it didn't stay outside the top job I was diagonal passes until he's got his job it's right near a university a lot of young people hang out here.

There was a debate watch party and a lot of people came in here actually quite not quite undecided.

Talked to a few of them afterwards here's what they had to say.

-- your opinion won the debate tonight.

I think Romney did it seem a lot more confident in his -- To this debate help you decide and you're going to vote for gas from I mean overall just seems like the better candidate.

Did he -- stick down to you tonight it was that they either candidate Romney or Obama.

Vulnerable Romney he seemed to.

Even more -- for the military and -- that you like into this debate -- -- -- that you told me you're an undecided voter do you feel swayed towards either candidate more so tonight after watching.

Comes slightly a little more -- Romney some people say Obama did not have a bunch of time to prepare for this first debate.

To that show.

Yes definitely think it is really -- and seemed like he didn't exactly how answering questions.

-- -- they're sitting here is that -- -- -- quite a few people in the first gentleman though that I spoke with -- last night.

He said -- just taking out tons and tons of student loans to pay for is under -- education down here -- El -- he's planning on going on to medical school.

Past and you know after watching this debate who -- feel more comfortable CD student loans out under.

And he said underneath and Obama excuse me -- the administration and not the Obama administration.

And he also saves you would be a lot more confident paying back those loans.

Under -- -- administration.

Patrick real quick just one final question morality go you've -- in El Paso for a few days are you getting a sense that there are still a lot of undecided voter's -- El Paso which is part of Texas a very red state.

That's that did did that yet -- good point you brought up their pewter and in -- a lot of people that I approached over the past several days I've been talking to people since.

Last weekend's.

About who they're talking about voting for and a lot of them are actually very undecided this is a very blue area.

A blue county but a lot of people.

Did say that they are indeed undecided.

Patrick Manning down in El Paso, Texas thank you so much -- a live report real -- from them.

-- -- -- we had Trevor dean right in the choice is crystal clear if you like the things the way things are going right now you go for Obama.

Because what you see is what you get but if you like.

Most Americans but if you like most Americans common sense want better.

Than what we have right now than you have no choice but to vote for Romney.

That was Trevor being on the chat -- go to Garrett penny and Jackson Mississippi Garrett.

Is there one issue from last night the -- we're talking about more than anything else.

One issue I think it just like most folks across America is the economy -- -- the young voters we talked to you they're getting ready to graduate college in the British Open and jobs out there available for them when they get there.

And they said whoever is able to put those jobs -- That's either going to go for -- Mississippi is one of the most conservative states in the country still a lot of people that were really anxious to see how Romney would do you know his first one on one with the president.

Here in Jackson though just like Patrick in El Paso.

It it's a very blue area blue city -- at this -- -- that we -- out last night a lot of Obama's supporters were really excited to see how he would do well having unabated the last.

But the four people that we spoke to undecided voters all four students getting ready to graduate.

We got their take don't you take a -- that they talk about.

What it is that they've stood out to the most from the debate what swung them one way or the other and kind of some things that they enjoyed the most -- -- -- take a listen.

Leaning more towards Romney -- I did originally.

And but I am so torn.

In the end time.

Who to vote for.

I don't -- Any more convinced on I think in Canada's fastest men and meaning of experience.

President Obama because it was a way to decent things I think President Obama made it a bit more clear and.

-- I just found Obama substance President Obama substance lacking.

As far as specifics on on what he wanted to do and what he wanted to change.

I mean he -- -- me statistics but if you look at the actual condition of the economy kind of question those statistics you can only made -- classes.

Half full so much for your looking at the state of the economy has it is right now when dock the thing that sticks out like as a Christian I think finally made a few.

Religious comments and then I don't remember hearing about and make that many of them.

Mean when you talk about five trillion dollars and you know tax cuts and things -- -- those numbers.

Don't mean much suited to the average person it was so funny that Romney had to keep on saying.

This.

We'll hot on the government to wait to slim I think it will slowly let me tennis is gonna have to think about it being very even though we elevate very but he says it's gotta go.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- Not in none of them are decided yet after the debate.

They they are leaning one way or the other after after the debate last night with the four undecided voters to her leaning Romney won his leaning Obama won says it no -- convinced him yet but one thing is sure everybody loves big bird.

At the end Garrett that that seems to be.

Indicative of the way that lots of people now expressing.

Themselves about the debate but real quick.

To those folks -- -- still on the fence.

Are they currently employed or are -- in school what was what was the breakdown that way.

Well all four of them are in school they they're working jobs on the side as well.

They're getting ready to graduate within the next year so jobs in jobs being out there.

That is what they're looking for because they say friends -- there's that have graduated in the last year -- Many of them are still looking for jobs.

The one -- was in law school.

He said a lot of his friends from law school that they haven't found any jobs in there having a working a restaurants waiting tables and things.

It just in hopes that something will turn -- -- the -- eventually says he doesn't want to be in that position when he graduates this next year so whoever's gonna fix that.

That's who they're going to go for.

-- -- -- in Mississippi.

Thank you very much for your report keep alive cats coming on and we just had -- right in about PBS and about big bird -- he wrote PBS would do fine as a private entity.

The foundation funding and a little commercials would not.

Heard it at all.

We stay -- we got -- live report from California on the other side of this break.

Nevada is a swing state mail -- had six electoral votes but both candidates sure spend a lot of time there and let's just take a quick look before we -- out there.

Let's see how things are going.

Out out west.

Since 2008 -- President Obama was elected.

They've lost 66300.

Jobs approximately in the unemployment rate.

Is way above the national average twelve point one.

Percent Allen got.

Tell me what this.

-- -- -- big time battleground state here in Nevada and he showed -- the number of undecided voters that I spoke with last night during a debate party at the University of Nevada Las Vegas take a listen.

So.

Are you decided are undecided.

Well.

I I feel like I am undecided I dislike both candidates alliance at this point -- have decided who designed.

-- I lean more towards the left I'm undecided on I'm debating between Romney and Obama did you come for the free pizza.

I think company -- I figured I would do the fans of yours.

Yes he looks -- -- -- over there studiously taking notes would you think what are your thoughts.

Oh my gosh he came into this debate and decided and am leaving and decided -- was supporting Romney but you don't have been really have a 100% in my heart behind it and I definitely closer to having a 100% in my heart behind him now.

Obviously I'm still undecided I was expecting a little more hard hitting.

Come a lot of the questions were softball questions and -- for both -- against you -- generally the same -- -- was just changed throughout all of this.

I thought that Romney sounded better in the debate but I felt like Obama's desk in answering the questions was better than Romney's better times.

Blue tie Obama -- a roadside Romney.

Highlights Obama's now here is very in this.

Any Palestinian.

Tying -- Yes OK you're resisting to see that a lot of these students their attitudes didn't change much out there during the debate.

But I'm at least one student.

Felt that the president.

Had a better -- so I guess that's a key demographic.

Accidentally hit it might be would be Brooks Brothers constituency hey Pete not -- I want we got here and Las Vegas.

The last thing that somebody thinks of when they think Las Vegas is a much young people paying attention to politics but did it seem like the -- that you talked to were engaged.

Sure come -- if they -- it -- seem like they were I mean maybe -- classroom mode and that TV was the teacher.

But they were very focused and there are -- on their no pads there -- typing on their ipads.

Big providers and not very intelligent answers as you can see and they're excited they want -- they're gonna stay in tune for the next debates -- And it was there one aside from big bird was there something that really got the whole crowd -- we talked before about how Mitt Romney had made a joke about his romantic evening with the president on his.

On its twentieth anniversary next big bird got a big laugh what what was the thing they got the most.

Reaction drew drew the most either applause or boos from the ground.

Well you know it.

A lot of the students that you saw them lose and also when they would when wouldn't either President Obama heard governor Romney would go overtime and there is a specific moment when President Obama.

Kind of stopped Jim Blair -- I have five more seconds I think everyone it was kinda taken aback.

But -- -- the moderator was interrupted they kinda almost felt like there interrupting a teacher I guess.

And so so the general mood you'd say then was like here in a classroom and instead.

Right here and get out with a bunch of -- something's in Las Vegas.

Yeah it was an animal house by any means it was.

A classroom environment -- taking notes and they're really excited out here and -- -- more underside undecided so they're really excited to check out these debates.

And I guess most importantly I think that is a swing state did you get the sense from the -- -- -- that they're actually gonna pull.

-- -- -- -- -- -- I -- that you know none -- -- is actually gonna matter and embezzling state Nevada and let these folks actually go out.

And vote do you get a sense that they're actually going to either fill out an early ballot.

-- wind up on -- like -- on November 6 and go cast the ballot.

That's right you know and of course.

I Nevada has early voting starting October 20.

And the students there definitely are gonna vote from what I picked up from them they are gonna vote.

They just don't know -- they're gonna go for of course we had a Romney supporter in there.

And a President Obama supporter but those undecideds are gonna wait for the vice presidential debate as well as the next two presidential debates before they make that decision.

In their decision making process since they are getting so much so much traffic really from.

President and Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan and Joseph Biden are all.

In and out of a lot.

All month long -- it will be for the next month until the election.

Are they basing their decision just on stuff that they see in debates or are they actually gonna go out.

And go to rallies and you know they don't have -- hold -- a sign but are they gonna go to rallies and just kind of try to get a sense.

Of what each person is about.

Mean person.

Paul -- from what I picked up from that the folks I spoke with -- date it.

It seems like they were too involved -- going to these rallies.

But I'm.

You're right I mean someone's here every week I mean just this past week of course the president I was here for debate prep.

I get ahead and Romney here campaigning for her husband as well as senator Marco Rubio doing some stump speeches.

So I mean maybe the closer we get to the election is only I mean we're we're count -- -- clock now.

Maybe these kids might go out there but I did pick that up at least from that debate watch party that -- out last night.

All right -- -- -- and Las Vegas thank you so much for watching the debate and telling us all about it really appreciate it one last chance we have.

Just under three minutes left to take a look at the live chat.

We've got -- are.

Rating and I'm sure President Obama is a good person however the debate clearly showed voters on both sides he it's not up to that job.

Of leading this country that's from Jane are.

Fair tax org this wrote in three minutes ago during mr.

Griffin's report -- likes long odds.

12% unemployment.

Let's try Obama again.

L oh well that's from fair tax -- Trevor dean one more time this -- into agree we just lost that Terry auto refresh for it to get quick break we'll be right back.

All right and last but not least Michelle -- to -- so and Fresno California Michelle what stood out to last night about the debate.

Well you know I think when we have it we had a on campus polling there with a student that attended the watch party last night.

And about.

Half of them thought Obama had won the debate in about half of them thought Romney had one but.

Overall I think people are pretty decided and some people still don't know what they're voting for.

I'm gonna wait it.

On the for there.

The days.

The more -- information against the better I.

-- make them better decision.

Who's the winner in this debate I was leaning towards Romney and I think that the person that.

That brought -- I was -- -- governor Romney.

He.

Spelled out his economic -- contrary to what the president said about your -- -- -- great that you're not showing to us I think that he gave us a lot of these don't know what he's gonna do.

I in the end Obama won an argument maybe not necessarily debate style but I wasn't.

Judging them on how they debated I was giving them on what their plan was and how they're gonna lead the country.

And walking away from this I thought -- Obama had a much better plan for how to lead the country kind of made me think -- Maybe that's what we need to vote.

-- he's been so excited for the debate that he's actually had that debate.

On his DVR for the last couple weeks.

He was leaning towards Obama as you could tell that any -- you there but.

He still is an undecided voter.

Michelle Mack was so in California thank you very much big thanks also to wish to -- -- -- attaining and Jackson Mississippi.

Patrick Manning El Paso.

In Orlando I'm Peter do see in Washington.

Thanks so much for watching.
