Now the issue.
Governor Romney hitting the president last I'd been a number of jobs in America or lack of them that have been created over the past four years -- Between that period the end of that recession and equivalent period of time to today.
Ronald Reagan's -- recovery created twice as many jobs is this president's recovery.
Five million jobs doesn't need to keep up with our population growth and the only reason the unemployment rate seems a little lower today.
Is because of all the people that have dropped out of the workforce.
The president has tried.
But his policies haven't worked he's great as a as 888.
As a speaker and and describing his plans and his vision that's wonderful except we have a record to look at.
And that record shows he just hasn't been able to cut the deficit to put in place reforms for Medicare and Social Security to preserve them.
To get -- the rising incomes we -- Median incomes down 43 dollars a family and 23 million Americans out of work that's what this election is about.
It's about who can get the middle class in this country a bright and prosperous future and assure our kids.
The kind of hope and optimism they deserve.
All that on the economy now Cox's computer Ed Rollins market every campaign since Lincoln.
Ed good morning to you comment take Romney and -- performance right there how did he do do you believe he did superbly.
Unlike the first debate where the president.
-- put ever last across his forehead because he's like a punching bag.
He fought back aggressively last night his premise the -- premise was things are bad when I came in and just give me more time they'll get better.
Romney clearly pointed out that his policies that failed its people that failed.
That -- nation is in the far worse shape on unemployment every other element.
And it's not gonna get better and he has some solution to -- -- other that was on the great strong points out you know what about the whole vision thing behavior -- may give me four more years this is what I will do how did present Obama either do on that front.
Our overall last night life -- you know I was much better performance in the first one obviously but did at the end of the day there wasn't anything -- there wasn't anything they gave me or anybody else that does -- about government.
Any hope that things are going to be better so my sense is it is a great debate -- for entertainment purposes.
They stood toe to toe they basically had lots of facts lots of figures.
But the economy is the issue and I thought Romney did a very effective I've seen good or bad arguably the most dynamic debate Americans have ever watched.
At this level I think it's apps -- one of the best to date sites that second Ali Fraser fight there's a third one coming.
But it was it was really first rate if you were made Obama fan and you basically greed the sigh of relief and little cheer at the end.
Being a Romney fan I thought he did a superb job to back to back and I think that this sort of freezes the action where it is today.
Which is Romney gaining a measurably on the president and we don't have a very close.
Like so then take a.
Boxing metaphor bit further because you are -- boxer.
Once a boxer always a boxer your card reads this is a draw last night that is that what I hear you say I.
Would give a slight edge to two Romney because I think at the end of the day he made the case that people care about which is the economy.
Certainly the president that came back from -- was two weeks ago and this was his best performance probably ever.
Romney always -- steady performances and this is one more are a couple pointed questions at a constant interruptions turned voters off to does that make a more interest that are less you know I think they did it in it courtesy way and it wasn't that way you know I've seen more fireworks and other debates in the past.
But I think to a certain extent they both made their points they were aggressive.
That a lot of facts stay throughout there without too many substantial mistakes.
Yeah I think -- get in the way a little bit sometimes meaning the moderator.
But I think at the end of the day you know this -- this was great entertainment but equally as important as educational.
And I think he sought to views of the country won the present the -- -- get better won the future that obviously offers hope but what about women.
Poll show women fleeing the president.
I think that this was again.
Mr.
Romney made a case for women and -- women have lost as suffered a measurably.
That the bad economy I think he's gaining gaining.
Greatly on that front and if he does obviously with the strength he has among men he won mystery and so you say if you're Romney fan you're still around and perhaps Obama fan Michelle Obama fan what what about the middle.
But MySpace just undecided voters still think there's still going to be undecided they're going to be undecided -- -- to Election Day an -- one or two votes.
Wanted to decisions -- -- you got to go -- I'm not gonna go vote that's always the undecided.
They're not gonna tip off of a debate I don't think.
I think what happened is the first debate that -- he became acceptable alternative.
Last night he reinforce that the president fought back and and obviously made his side -- little more energized when that are very energized electorate very divided electorate.
And I do see that every -- is going to be very important if that is the case then I would imagine those voters are waiting for Monday night.
Because that's when the final bell -- -- Everybody's gonna anticipate another great debate on Monday night and obviously -- foreign affairs not as important.
As the economy.
But still it's very very importantly I'm -- contentious after the Libya debate last night I what is that thing is gonna be dissected in the media for.
Well I guess the next five days until they go back out it.
Well I will and deserves to be because I think at the end of the day whatever the president through the line terror in his in his speech -- that candy.
Decided she was gonna jump in the mix and answer the question instead of being an objective.
They basically ducked and dodged and trying to blame this on the -- for two weeks dating come out of say this is an al-Qaeda attack they didn't come on demand.
That the host nation basically.
That bring these people to justice they kept the FBI investigating for eighteen days I think it was a bad day for America.
-- Rollins thank you for your time appreciate your evaluation -- keep --
