There's -- president governor Romney.
As a twenty year old college student all they hear from professors neighbors and others is that when I graduate -- -- little chance to get employment.
Can what can you say to reassure me but more importantly my parents -- -- to sufficiently support myself after I graduate.
With the whole world watching the first question at the second presidential debate with act.
By a twenty year old just heard from Jeremy Epstein -- university's most famous under grad student.
Both became its last night had a chance to make their pitch to young undecided voters and that's what we're gonna talk about this half hour.
We've got four foxnews.com reporters who were at debate watch parties during the big show last night go ahead and drop a line in the chat let me know who you think won the debate on Peter DC Washington keeping the special report studio warm.
Until Bret -- gets back tonight -- take a look we're gonna go talk to those Fox -- reporters in just a second but before we do let's take a look.
At Nevada Al west.
Mitt Romney trails the real clear politics average of polls by one point six points which is in the margin of error by of most most of the polls the -- It's comprised of President Obama has been out there so far.
Well that's the gas prices three dollars and 94 cents per gallon of gas in Nevada right now.
President Obama has been to Nevada this campaign season seven times Mitt Romney four times and it.
The unemployment rate -- in the country twelve point 1% but Fox News -- -- Griffin.
Has a job he is in Las Vegas and he has got a round up.
Of cool folks out there think that the best job making their case about downturn in the economy around -- -- -- like you just mentioned there.
Twelve point 1% unemployment rate the highest in the nation and -- a hot topic here in Nevada and last night -- passed by a debate watch party at big dogs brewing company here in Las Vegas talk to send them young locals to see which candidate laid out the best vision to fix this problem.
I think that Obama.
-- has done more especially because he came in and it's hanging when we're going to win here in the financial crisis was beginning and it could have been a lot.
Worse I believe if you want businesses to succeed especially small town businesses I believe Romney's policies might actually help because he is trying to.
Big business marked the guy has a Harvard degree of art and business and -- and -- of the policies that attitude.
-- You know Mitt Romney says that the government doesn't create jobs.
And but yet -- -- -- create -- and jobs the guy makes 200.
How that all pans out while I think that Romney's -- Heroes is been in business for fifteen years.
And I think that's his plan is better because it is trying to create it is his plan has a great twelve -- jobs -- the next four years.
And as you can see fairly fair and balanced debate there on that issue and for Nevada as -- just gonna have to wait and see which economic vision the rest of the country decides to go to.
And indeed stay with us for 12 -- we -- -- get your reaction the reaction of the crowd last night that club.
To the moment where the president.
And governor Romney went literally toe to -- bitterness out and I just.
I don't dislike this era that I just described to you precisely how I do -- -- this what this a single number that people can put.
And they can put their their at their deductions and credits that letting your world keeping track -- I don't China Mr.
President or overrule on an author completely off and talk about immigrant and we I don't like yeah I -- digital -- a lot of heat.
Pete here in Las Vegas where all the big heavyweight boxing matches state plays clearly -- like -- did a good -- heavyweight fight.
In Vegas what do they think about that.
-- almost looked like I guess the Floyd Mayweather Manny Pacquiao fight we've all been wanted to see but you know what it in this club.
-- a little bit hard to gauge exactly the reactors because it was pretty loud.
Just to bring up I know there was an exchange where -- regarding Libya.
And I'm I actually -- had a chance to talk with two students about about that.
Brews between the president governor Romney and of course the moderator and at that point what one of the -- has said that they kind of look like the governor stumbled a little bit.
When he came to Dave -- the issue that they were talking about.
When it came to the president another student just felt that.
The president may -- didn't handle that issue the correct way campaigning immediately after the incident that took place in Libya so that was probably one of -- incidents during that debate where.
Around the room you can kind of see people they're pretty intent on seeing how each candidate would handle that situation but yet time to kind of look like arrest and -- -- here.
And just and final question we've only got a few seconds with a they kept coming up.
When I spoke to -- students I asked them that specific question afterwards.
There weren't many concerns as far as that's.
Time why nobody was more -- each candidate candidate handled the question as I mentioned one of the students thought that governor Romney possibly stumbled a little bit.
During that interaction.
Worry is when students -- the president just overall.
Maybe should have campaigned as soon.
The situation took place in Libya.
All right Eddie Griffin in Las Vegas thank you very much we'll be right back with a report from Mississippi.
At -- -- has a question -- you.
It was a great learning the main constraint behind -- did that sentiment.
-- -- -- -- And that confusion about the name was -- single most treated moment of last night's entire presidential debate.
It garnered 1095.
-- -- 109560.
Per minute overall there were seven point two million tweets from nine when the debate started to 1039.
When it ended and it's impossible to say -- any kind of precision how many of those tweets those seven point two million tweets came from undecided.
Voters but -- -- Jackson is down or rather -- Tammy is down Jackson Mississippi he watched the debate last night with two folks.
Being voted for President Obama last time around but they haven't.
Made up their minds this time yet here why's that.
Will appear like so many swing voters in 2008 Brian -- Stacy Hanson.
They voted for the Obama campaign's promise of hope and change.
And like so many undecided voters in this year's election.
The hope -- change from the last four years hasn't quite met their expectations.
So going into last night's debate they put their two sons to -- early and they are hoping here some specific plans that each candidate had.
Of what they would do if they were elected for the next four years and as you'll see.
They didn't leave the debate with any decisions made and pretty much weren't happy -- all would either candidate -- -- set.
I did their -- bombing in the last election I guess I just wanted to see more and get ahead I don't think it because I voted for her last time.
Keep my trust.
Which I think it's hard to do -- to gain my trust me if you McKee yeah.
Speaking about -- is that we have one then they have all those same opportunities.
Romney supposedly the guy because he's a businessman.
But he hasn't laid out anything specific.
Other then I'm gonna balance the budget please enlighten us now have believed when he says he knows how to do it I want him to tell me -- is -- to me.
Don't wanna get get your brother come on.
Let me pressure teeth if you -- that he can you spend two hours watching these guys.
And not really feel like you know no money -- the facts.
About there about their platforms and their policies.
-- -- -- -- No one answered anything specifically and that's what I want to hear.
Not pointing fingers not interrupting.
The moderator not interacting each other and nor any other guy tell me what you're gonna -- it fixed and focused on on your your -- that I -- -- when you what you can accomplish that neither did you need anything from the not to watch another debates could -- your read my information that is what I have gained.
Thank you very much scarier Teddy for that live report from Jackson Mississippi organization will get some tweets really quick we had one from Matt Harrelson sixteen.
Just because Obama was louder doesn't make its policies more effective still out of touch.
There we had one from act back bay 09 miss Diane Campbell.
How can you possibly have Romney at the Helm when he considers 47%.
Of you -- relevant.
And then we have one from Josh Lassiter.
Obama won I however am voting for the one that hasn't tanked our country the last four years -- -- vote Mitt.
There's a lot more of that came from after this.
Carolina has fifteen electoral votes and right now we look at the polls.
Mitt Romney is ahead bear the real clear politics average 50%.
The 45 point three this is an average of polls but Mitt Romney is ahead by almost five points as for the economy we want to see why that might be.
Well Mitt Romney's been there twice as many times for visits to two from the president one of the president's visits by the way it was for the Democratic National Convention in the unemployment rate in North Carolina.
Nine point 7%.
Our Mary queen is in Charlotte and -- -- -- a hair salon.
Last night watching this that's a really unique place to watch.
A political debating what was overall reaction.
-- -- -- hair and politics -- mix so well till my favorite things personally but they did.
The owner of this -- long was -- young woman she thought it was hurt civic duty to gather her friends bring out her clients and really get people informed on issues and the people I talk to you last night.
Really thought this was a night and day performance for Barack Obama compared to -- debate two weeks ago against Mitt Romney they loved the aggressive nature of the debate between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.
And they got that Obama was much more assertive and they -- that put him right back where he needed to eat in terms of the debate but they also thought.
The way Obama handled the Libya question helped him last night.
This it's all politics is going to be fine is going to be here in this business if they -- maybe.
I just kind of I never want that people.
I mean I was -- -- in debate.
-- definitely was more come into the debate -- seem like he was more more aggressive.
And a few more direct and a lot of -- A lot of comments -- -- believe that he was he was more like bulky and what he was saying and I think.
That they have me like you really sound like.
-- I think that President Obama did test an appropriately at the president of the United States he is the person next responsible and that is being charged.
This includes more personal shots.
And as President Obama was saying he certainly felt like he was disrespect did we felt like you know the runs -- of -- -- -- -- was saying.
And -- that their -- and you talking about people's lives he put it.
And I know it's a tragic way and -- when it.
You'll make a parochial political thing about it I don't think I don't think that would stand where we anybody politician -- anybody.
One of the things that viewers really love last night was the back and forth between Barack Obama and they Ronnie and they love that both of them really.
Push the envelope in terms of the rules taking a little bit more time than they were giving talking need to -- a little -- even talking over the moderator but one of the rules that audience -- that they -- really made him realize that Barack Obama was having a better debate was not audience -- but the Libya question and the audience has not been on the -- any of the debates and was not allowed to -- at this debate so they felt there was a little -- unbiased source Barack Obama with those undecided voters.
That's really interesting married that big crowd in New York helped.
The viewers in North Carolina and make up their mind something else that I -- one get to before you go.
-- a hair salon.
Lot of women there there's a lot of discussion about women and clearly.
Both candidates were -- for the female vote last night what do they think about this.
We've put your real concerted effort to -- -- -- find women.
Who had backgrounds that could be qualified to become members of our cabinet.
I went to a number of women's groups and said can you help us find folks I brought us all binders full of -- women.
Now -- how is that received the binders full of women -- The women I was with did not like the binders full of -- comment they felt that they're running mate didn't seem like objects just pieces of paper there -- one voter I -- -- was a little bit undecided before the debate got started -- focusing on two issues one and an education.
The other one being women's rights and she said she enjoyed much more the answer from Barack Obama on -- Lilly Ledbetter -- did not appreciate Mitt Romney making her seem like just a piece of paper.
All right Mary and final question do you have any idea.
What other voters outside hair salons are thinking about the election right now.
Well I do know there were dozens of debate watch parties here in Charlotte last night for a bullet campaigns and hundreds.
Being held around the state but one interesting -- you know in terms of the youth vote is that most -- -- students here in North Carolina college students are on their fall break right now still probably get a better idea where this young voters are leaning come Monday with -- fourth and final debate down in Florida.
Mary -- in North Carolina thank you very much.
We'll be right back after this.
You said in the Rose Garden the day after the attack it was an act of terror.
It was not a spontaneous demonstration is that what you're saying please -- -- By.
Wanna make sure we get that for the record because it took the president fourteen days before he called the attack and -- -- an act of terror get the transfer.
It if he didn't -- facts are so let me let me -- -- call an -- -- and allowed a -- -- -- He did.
-- active terror it did as well.
Take it it is well take that two weeks or so for the whole idea of -- being a -- out there about this tape.
But to come out -- -- this that.
There's been a lot of chatter about Candy Crowley from CNN last night a lot of folks tweeting in that they think she did.
More than a moderator is suppose to by interrupting Mitt Romney more than she interrupt the president and by inserting.
That fact check in there and the discussion about Libya.
When the facts have sense been disputed by some we've got some folks -- -- right here we have.
Act -- at 130 -- -- can be better to be a potted plant than a pandering partisan.
-- had that's pretty harsh from twin 130.
We got another one that said Romney held up well when both the president and moderator were seemingly teamed up against him.
That's from -- -- it's clearly -- Harry Potter fan.
And only have one from goal at the eight or -- an eight.
-- says it's clear after watching the Romney Obama to debate the governor Romney's presidential and had solutions while Obama.
Does not now.
Correlate attracted the most attention clearly during that bit on Libya and our Michelle back to lose so out of California was -- a debate party where Libya was also -- main topic of conversation.
Good afternoon Michelle.
We'll presidency university a lot of the college students believe that education -- or that economy -- main topics but.
Last night at -- debate watch party they thought the question on Libya was one the most important topics discussed in last night's debate.
And there were mixed reactions on how they thought present Obama handled the situation.
This question is about Libya.
Question is about -- -- question is it about the fact that our.
Ambassador asked for more security on the anniversary.
Of a terrorist attack.
Was denied that additional security.
And as a result was assassinated by terrorists regardless of the situation -- who was -- -- who who did it.
It was an actor you know people -- we're outside of those those constraints Oswald -- men.
And kill people that's it that's -- terror leaders within his administration going out and telling people it was because of the video.
This isn't a terrorist attack for some -- national television the next morning and say this for the terrorist attack.
That's gonna -- individuals.
It's gonna make people think things on -- -- need to be thought.
Politically I think you -- the right thing you know by saying that.
It was an -- from a terrorist obviously now.
Certain and nitpick on people's words a little much and I don't really think that's something we need as a country or anyone needs.
You know the fact that he was like there's a problem here -- -- resolved I think is more important.
Then nitpicking on words.
Yes it is wish that there was more discussion on foreign policy in last night's debate.
And they were very surprised that there wasn't a question on Iran because that's one of the other topics that they were hoping.
Was going to be discussed Peter.
Michelle Mack -- -- Fresno California thank you very much for watching and for joining us today we got a few more tweets before we go we have one from Wayne bone.
W bone 89.
-- an undecided voter and after last night I'm voting for Obama.
We've got one from pastor -- act big dog gone.
No winner looked like a pro wrestling match and finally from Ashley and gravy double A -- -- 22 year old voter in Georgia for Romney debate effectiveness wise -- -- Romney win Obama much better than last time now.
