Attorney Teresa Wagner who once worked for the National Right to Life Committee and the family research council says.

That conservative background cost her -- job not once but three times at the University of Iowa law school.

Wagner who's a graduate of the school was working as a part time instructor -- in 2006.

When she first applied for a full time position.

She says the job went to a lesser qualified but more liberal candidate and she believes her personal politics were used against her each time she was passed over.

Something the school denies the two sides are battling it out in federal court this week.

Wagner's legal team -- introduced an email from one law professor to the school's dean saying quote.
