Just -- up -- Obama's response to the Libya attack couldn't get any worse well it just sit.

Tonight president -- -- -- comment he probably wishes he had not on a daily show in reference to the killings in Libya the president saying that went for Americans -- killed.

It's not optimal.

We spoke with senators John McCain and Kelly they act about the White House -- botched handling of Libya.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Senator McCain must persevere and -- the perplexing issue with Libya and the administration is now same -- -- -- now say is that the reason why we didn't hear more information.

It's because -- want to wait -- had the correct information but for the first two weeks.

Probably -- was misinformation -- -- do with a videotape at a protest it never happened so that's perplexing.

Now today.

President Bob in an interview I -- Chad -- the daily show with Jon Stewart said went for Americans get killed and it's not.

-- to law it's a very poor choice of words and I'm I'm curious what your your response to that -- a thought about it.

Well and even from someone like the president who has never known.

What these kinds of tragedies are about in the service and sacrifice as people make.

It's still just.

-- -- -- -- I can't even get angry is just so.

Inappropriate and I am sure that.

Families of those brave Americans.

Are not a news.

Considering I had found you know what I don't mean it's stuck on this because if people can -- can -- really sloppy in -- speech but this statement went for America's he killed it's not optimal and the whole handling of this has been so perplexing.

Give any idea.

Why the administration has been so for lack of better word weird about it in the right information out to us instead -- misinformation.

Now -- I have to say the president's statement today was quite astounding.

And you know then the murder of four Americans of course is tragic and totally unacceptable.

And that's what we would expect to hear from our commander in chief.

But what I'm concerned about is that this is part of -- a bigger pattern you remember the leaking that they did.

When things went well including how quickly they did they got the information out about still teen six.

When the bin Laden raid and here we are a situation for two weeks.

The administration fails to come out and in multiple changing stories still to come out call this what it was.

From the beginning a terrorist attack -- course by an al-Qaeda affiliate it's disturbing and I think there are serious questions the president has -- about this.

It cinema can't I don't know -- -- I guess I -- I just would like to say again.

Present.

He needed on that comedy show you said you know we there are screw ups and then we fiction and he didn't talk about it.

Responsibility.

Because some responsibility of -- issues and we want to know.

What they have president knew when he knew it and what did he do about it.

Because the facts are irrefutable that it was it it was absolutely clear within hours.

To -- the intelligence community any any observer.

That this was not a spontaneous demonstration not when mortars and rocket propelled grenades.

Are used in -- rather sophisticated attack then -- Sunday I was on another network.

Day they they had Susan Rice out there five days afterwards saying this Malarkey.

This Maloney.

About that he would say triggered by the demonstration triggered by a hateful video and immediately after that on that program was face the nation.

They had the president of the legislative assembly in Libya who said.

We know this is al-Qaeda we know this is a terrorist attacks and the president days later.

Goes on Letterman and the view and keeps it keeps harping on that same.

The issue now whether he actually meant.

Oh there -- that and grows -- terrorist attack or not it's pretty obvious to me.

That he was not referring to that attack when he said we condemn terrorist attacks but even as he did.

What easy excuse for days later going on every show in America as the president and saying this is a spontaneous demonstration.

Triggered by the video and we wanted to know what he knew when he knew it and if -- -- intelligence people who told him otherwise.

What in the world we're they doing and cooler -- and who is being held responsible.

And let's not forget Greta about media attacked us on the consulate in June but apparently blew a hole in the security perimeter that forty people -- go through.

And how -- -- that brought to the president's attention I'd be shocked if it wasn't in its daily intelligence briefing should have been with the deteriorating security situation and then Ghazi.

So what do you know about in this is so important because the American people deserve to hear it straight about what happened.

There was an attack in June there was an attack in -- a British ambassador was attacked the British closer consulate.

They are Red Cross left and guys see and that's lieutenant colonel Woodson had.

We were going to be the last flag standing in -- guys he and he said the attack was quote.

Inevitable.

Now that you've seen massive intelligence failure now the president may not have known -- sixteen people are eighteen people were standard or not.

But wasn't he told about this deteriorating situation in the guys see.

What do you think what do you make of secretary of state Hillary Clinton saying that the buck stops here she's taking initiatives and South America -- last couple -- and she said she's the one.

Who accept full responsibility in the buck stops with her.

Well we appreciate -- Clinton said that but the bottom line is that obviously she's trying to.

Cover for the president and the vice president here and ultimately it is the president's responsibility for the security of the American people.

And the questions that we raised about the deteriorating security situation and -- he has to answer those.

And why wasn't it you know why were the overall why -- no more attention paid.

-- what was happening in Libya and I think unfortunately Greta it is a symptom of a greater problem with what we see happening in the Middle East also.

Iraq is deteriorating with al-Qaeda coming back very -- -- what's happening in Syria the failure of leadership there.

Empowering Iran not to -- is continuing to provide arms and Syria it's misleading from behind does not.

Work in terms of making sure that America safe to reality and I said.

Get the reality yeah al-Qaeda al-Qaeda is is this just coming back everywhere.

In northern Africa and Molly that there -- virtually taken over.

Is double dip in that in Iraq that the president brags about it got training camps in western Iraq.

The stalemate -- and there's 30000 people being massacred in Syria in the present does nothing about it.

Well more jobs -- of the country this is unraveling and it's a failure of leadership and I think the American people want to know about it.

You know I can't figure out if he -- in this story if he's been uninformed.

Misinformed.

Deep tax.

Incompetent and Harry handle it or whether it's a political motive to try to hide it from the American people or is there any other choice.

Let me say this as far as who have -- guys -- concerned is easy to thanks willfully deceiving the American people.

You know hopes -- it would drag out past the election.

Wore a degree of incompetence that can only responsibility for which can only come to the in the president's desk.

And let's not forget this just didn't fit their narrative because the president has been going around saying that al-Qaeda is on the run bin Laden is dead.

And yeah I think what what happened is that when they realize it's a terrorist attack.

By al-Qaeda on the consulate in Libya that wasn't -- what the administration was trying to portray in this campaign and I think that's a very serious.

Problem and that has to be answered as well why were these changing stories why did they come out.

And out what did the president know about all this.

-- -- -- Thank you thank kids.
