This is really a journalistic -- I mean the fact that there was not a word.
About any of this in the times of the post.
Today.
And today's another day Stephen Hayes senior writer weekly standard Fox's contributor Steve good morning to you are doing well.
Let's let the record show New York Times today page a six.
Emails offer glimpse of what US new and first hours after attack in Libya.
Washington post's page a nine email -- State Department.
Name Milligan now militant group rather -- night of Libya attack yesterday.
Was there anything in -- -- Why can't -- I woke up first thing because the story broke the night before about 930.
We -- it some of it at fox CBS have done a story on it.
And and I spent the better part of the day following what was happening on the Washington Post web site on the New York Times web site.
And they didn't -- stories of the New York Times at one point had three stories on Richard -- Iraq.
And his comments about abortion but just didn't cover.
This story -- all the Washington Post likewise had a story about Gloria all reds October surprise.
But also didn't have a separate story on this for a good -- -- what do you think you're explaining that what why would they choose to ignore that I mean that's a decision that every newsroom makes.
Why would they make that decision.
Bias I don't think it's complicated that this is this is this should be setting aside the fact that this is.
A tragedy and it has obvious.
You know -- -- on the family's.
Of the those concerned this is -- a journalist read story in many respects I mean you've got an administration that has totally failed.
To get its story straight has told contradictory tales.
One day after another after another there -- new revelations coming out on a near daily basis that contradict the administration's official line.
And it's coming at a time when it could have a significant impact.
On everything that's going a.
On that's an interesting point two what what Krauthammer was talking about last night.
Was the common to Joseph Biden made during the debate.
And he said we at the White House more or less I'm paraphrasing now did not know about what was happening.
Now we have these emails that -- they were going right in the situation room of the White House where does that -- -- now.
Well you also have ambassador -- -- emails from September 11.
We built -- potentially some 46 hours.
Before the attack began where he was saying we don't have enough security.
This is not going to work.
Mean you have basically I think a three part scandal the first part is as you say is it what happened before him why weren't these calls for additional security.
He did the second part is what happened in the middle of the fight why did we not send reinforcements and serious reinforcements to help the people who are under fire at the time.
And the third part.
And in some ways the most complicated part is everything that we've heard -- from the administration's.
Different stories about who was involved from the allegations that this was about a film from al-Qaeda ties of the attackers.
They haven't gotten their story straight -- there's so much there there's so much.
What -- Hillary Clinton says she says were you know reporters like yourself for cherry picking information.
And what Republicans are arguing now is -- President Obama talks about a matter of trust in Washington.
Republicans -- say what about this and I know folks like you were talking about it in Krauthammer was really going after the Watergate issue last night.
I'm are we at a point where you can make a fair comparison.
To the early seventies -- what is happening now.
You know I don't know that we know enough yet to say that that's what this is but there certainly suggests is that it that it may get to that level of seriousness.
And and on the question of cherry -- I think that's at the center of this entire.
Discussion you have an administration that spent all of this time talking about.
The -- video and and having had evidence that this had something to do with the protest in Cairo.
And yet the only piece of evidence that we know about that even makes any illusion however in direct to what happened in Cairo.
Came from a phone call phone intercept of a conversation between two al-Qaeda terrorists and so they didn't tell us about the al-Qaeda terrorists they didn't tell us about that aspect of it.
But they were happy to use what ever reference to Cairo there wasn't -- phone conversation because it suited their purposes.
Shifting the blame on to the YouTube it.
Now we'll look for more on this later tonight a special report thank you Steve Stephen Hayes what is there.
In Washington.
