The economy whether it's moving in the right direction -- the wrong direction is affecting small businesses around the country delighted to be doing now from Richmond Virginia.

Thanks a lot thanks for having me -- so has business.
This is is -- really get out about believe Richmond wasn't as hard hit as some of the areas in the country and.
You know as a business we've just focus really hard on what we do have power ever which is.
-- importance in the community the value of what we deliver and you know it's squeak this by so far it certainly.
Business can be better gas prices are cutting and our profitability.
But we have a warm cozy place -- -- to me that feels pretty pretty good and and I think we're gonna be fine I guess that's.
A lesson for a lot of businesses.
That that community in this sense of community in a sense of being part of a community can really help you survive even in more difficult times.
I think that's exactly right my accountant always told me I didn't have enough cash and then when that when the recession hit I was thinking oh my gosh he's going to be I'm gonna have to tell -- you're right you -- right.
But our friends carried us through our relationships carried us through the fact that the community -- us being there.
Carried us through even though there was no big catch back up so you know there is something to be.
He said for that if -- valuable thing you hear your client tells gonna hold -- -- some kind of way so why are you hiring right mascot.
We are -- and we've been growing all through the recession that.
And subsequent years so we are hiring probably not just for the next couple months over the winner for us it's a bit seasonal bomb.
But in the spring we will certainly be -- positions in and adding another -- -- to the for cruise that we have -- you are cultural work will be adding another creature that and it.
Scott do we whoever wins this up presidential election and I don't wanna drag you into politics but.
What kind of things do would you like to see to help small businesses like you -- enlightened like you was what policies -- would you like to -- Fortunately as a moderate I'm not scared of either these these candidates I know they both know the importance of taking care of me and so -- -- vote for one or the other it's not gonna be on that specific thing.
But.
But what I have seen what's been helpful to us at the last few years is.
On being able to write off -- expenses.
Equipment expenses.
There's been some tax.
Things this have been helpful to us I'd like to see those continue.
And mostly I would just like to see you know.
Did the regulations aren't concerned I would just like to see with the tax code and with.
Be prioritizing it the candidates are gonna do if elected -- would like GC SB a high priority club and do you get the sense.
Scott that the economy is turning a corner from you'll come from your point -- -- -- you look at this as the owner of a small business.
We -- number heading in the right direction that.
It's it's it really seems like a margin call but I do think that I'm grateful that we are at least where we are considering.
If if that was the worst.
Financial collapse in my lifetime and it's hard for me to measure how where this recovery should be at this point.
I'm glad that it's not worse you know I feel like at least enrichment bit.
They -- getting through it and and maybe with a little bit of momentum it's nothing nothing dramatic but I'd I don't feel like everybody's bringing their hands with fear that it did.
It's gonna something's gonna happen.
