For people were able to go I assume we'll hear don't yeah I suspect that talk about the benefit what is and why you're involved because I hear there's a personal.
Yeah I -- like my grandmother had alzheimer's disease and you know before that I knew about all summer but I didn't I didn't know how much it really affected people.
And when I started to realize that when I put the song Raymond out.
I just realized how real this diseases and how we need to China's much lot of plans -- came to try to.
Try to beat this disease and find ways to cope with the because that really hits home and found -- families not just the first announced that has the disease so.
-- this -- -- -- here in New York my first time -- -- -- show in New York City I'm so excited.
How excited -- this is alzheimer's foundation of America's eighth annual for the love of Georgia event here at the crimson in New York -- on Broadway.
And you mentioned so many people have as many as five point one million Americans currently have -- alzheimer's.
And and again talking about your grandmother.
And -- your first single paid tribute to her death -- what was so like make it writing that song for her.
I had.
Just got a call from my dad and I before the -- telling my grandmother started forget people in the family which -- You know -- -- and everything about me grown up -- To -- -- start forgetting things like about June and that just really has hit home minutes and saw I show the next day to write the song and and -- told the guy wrote the song about -- every man and I started some of my grandmother.
He had led him as a nursing homes from an up and -- and so we we came up with the song and I had no idea the impact that it would.
Blue and head -- with people and -- and I realize how many people are affected by this disease and that's artists I got to find.
Anyway I -- to help fight this disease and and help other families with it and really good out there.
In the forefront so that's so amazing I mean what I mean.
It's nice when you have I mean not nice that you have a personal connection to this but that when you do.
You can take your craft your voice your music and and touch people's lives and how people yes.
You know say wait a minute you know even though it's not happening in my family and hopefully an overwhelming it's nice to be able to contribute now I understand there's going to be some pretty cool auction items.
I was reading about this at the show tonight for the love of George will also include the silent auction of autographed memorabilia.
From celebrities like Justin Bieber Michael Jackson Bruce Springsteen.
Vacations adventures Broadway shows concerts CLU know how what the goal is I mean I'm sure it's just to raise as much.
I didn't I don't know the exact -- -- so we can raise you know every little bit -- -- counts and anyway until I got us a chance that it hurts so much to see families go through that it's not my dad look -- mother and and Syria my -- look at the modern -- -- that.
And this just a tough things anyway we can we can raise money for this more the merrier and in and we discovered got to beat this disease and we got to find ways -- to deal with the.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Are very -- want to mention once again tonight.
