Happy Friday and meteorologist Janice Dean watching of the north east we have.
A significant storm that is going to visit the northeast over the weekend into early next week so if you look anywhere from Delmarva peninsula.
Up to mean you need to be making your preparations hurricane sandy is going to make its way northward and then eventually backtracked in towards the north east.
As a potentially very dangerous.
Potentially once in a lifetime storm so.
Make your preparations if you -- along the coast and it's going -- far it's going to reach far inland as well we could see.
Winds extending across the Great Lakes and in towards the midwest that's how big this storm is going to get -- What's gonna bring this storm -- -- just a cold front a significant one and you can see here on the map.
We've got 41 -- Marquette 52 in Detroit.
There's that sharp cold front and along that front we're seeing some precipitation some of it in the form of snow head of the front seven each of the Pittsburgh 68 New York.

In DC let's take a look at the satellite radar imaging -- -- see that cold front along with the cold front.
Some heavy rain in some cases and we could see some snow as well as we get into the overnight and into tomorrow.
So that's gonna continue to move eastward and again.
That's part of the reason we're -- -- CC -- Make its way northward and then eventually westward and back into us and see -- future radar as we head into Sunday.
Cold enough for snow across the Great Lakes we could see several inches.
Of snow depending on how cold the air is once it -- up with the front so again.
