Some new research.
Showing governor Romney gaining significant ground with the critical voting for Bob -- just eleven days before the presidential election look at this poll.
Nationwide governor Romney has a nineteen point lead now among independent voters.
And this surge is happening over just the past few days here's a breakdown for you.
On Sunday governor Ronnie went from three points to -- eye opening nineteen points.
On Wednesday.
If that advantage sticks it could be the sharpest tilt among independents in a presidential election since Ronald Reagan's 1984.
Landslide win.
-- are -- -- Fox News did you politics editor and host of power plant foxnews.com live before we get to the independence Chris.
I know you -- listening to the interview with mr.
woods.
Everyone out here is a little flabbergasted at at what just happened here on this program.
Your thoughts on.
Well you know first and only thought that you can have is that as a father you hear that and it's it's heartbreaking and I think that it's -- it's a heartbreaking story.
And the the reason that that is there is significant to this discussion because there are a lot of parents who have suffered over losses of their children.
In Iraq and Afghanistan and other places and and other American heroes.
But in this case it is -- to worry.
That encapsulates.
What happened in Ben Ghazi and encapsulates.
Every thing.
About this that people especially the press especially the establishment press had been struggling.
To get a grasp on that what really happened here but here you have in real time not just that the White House knew.
Not just that they were watching.
But that in fact the calls for help to have three calls for help refuse.
Is going to lead to a lot of consternation and a lot of frustration.
And then you think about how a dad has to go forward and carry that message he did it with real kindness and apply home.
But what it difficult job for him but he is certainly changing them changing the direction of this discussion at a crucial moment for the country.
Matt Ryan chose not to go there on the question of Libya at the last debate.
And many believe that that was a Smart move for him don't get bogged down in the details let that play out in the news or elsewhere.
This -- an independent voters connected at all to think.
I think it's connected I I I do think that it's connected.
Certainly the president's falling away on foreign policy.
Is directly attributable to this and you would suspect.
That with this new news about that the pleas for help in the refusals that that would worsen.
I think though that the biggest thing the biggest reason that the independents are moving away from the president at such a fast pace is that the president has opted.
To have a narrow reelection strategy where he is focused on.
Primarily attacking Mitt Romney.
And character attacks on Mitt Romney but also has focused on -- Based satisfaction efforts where he has tried to find -- slots -- his own political base.
And appeal to them.
Rather than making a broader argument because remember what independents have in common is that they think the status quo in both parties probably -- so great and they're looking for.
Broader more unifying messages at least once they're in the middle.
And speaking of governor -- -- he is we're gonna listen to his remarks were told this is a major economic address.
By eighteen Romney and we will listen in Crist.
