But did you know Christopher Reeve was also a real life superhero.

Suffering from spinal cord injuries he worked tirelessly.

On behalf of others just like him and now his son Matthew is proud to carry on that tradition -- foundation marking its thirtieth.

Found himself in position that he wouldn't have necessarily chosen but he chose to embrace it and became a voice for whole population that was previously.

Pretty unserved and represented.

And he was a quadriplegic and he was on events later he couldn't breathe on his own.

And what's interesting in in in reading about you in the foundation.

One in fifty Americans suffers some form of paralysis.

And more than a million Americans suffer some form of spinal cord.

Injury I didn't realize it was so so prevalent what does the foundation do how do you help.

-- first of those is his statistics are correct they're sixteen people who were living with some form paralysis one point three with a spinal cord injury.

And we raise money to fund the most cutting edge research.

And to refund quality of life programs nation of people leave it can lead meaningful and -- -- productive lives.

Our goal is to really grow and we need to continue to raise money and we need to expands a program we have -- in your recovery network which is an activity based.

Rehabilitation program where we're seeing.

Incredible results come out of 500 people have gone through this program -- -- five -- walking.

Almost a 100% have seen some kind of regain function -- and improve quality of life and Milwaukee from being paraplegic ex.

It every -- some of them every injury is different every person's different it's one of -- that difficulties with.

You know finding a cure for the for the veterans -- their -- -- treatment because that's right for the disease.

And it's -- -- -- attention -- -- emitted through assuming incredible results and has every reason to be optimistic about the future.

This is a wonderful thing and in the foundation is the Crist friend and a reform and there's a dinner at the end of the November -- -- Rihanna here in New York we intend to raise some money -- and you also have a team -- -- -- near marathon yes and good -- to -- following your father's footsteps and and and then in the success in your right as well.
