Just a short time ago Mayor Bloomberg explains that the city is doing whatever it can as soon as -- can to get things back to normal.

Both of which will take some time and the best ways New Yorkers can help us get this done quickly is to stay off the roads.
The work is well under way East River bridges have already been reopened.
The work of getting our mass transit grid and our power -- restored however.
Is going to take more time and a lot of patience.
Take a look again at the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel.
You can see that this is going to take more than a matter of days for this water to be pump data here and but it tunnel to return to normal.
Some quasi good news for New York is -- We could see subway service restored in a few days time and there's talk there's talk now of some limited bus service.
Taking place possibly as soon as this afternoon.
But still this is a city that is.
Partially paralyzed them.
