Hi welcome back to fox 411 -- I'm Laura -- we've got a great show you right in the middle of it.

And now we -- yet another famous actor here on set I am very pleased to introduce Haley Joel Osment.

Actor you know on you love them back.

The sixth sense -- -- you know I was in the elevator are building today talking to my husband on my way here saying as an interview and music you know pay it forward he goes.

That -- be changed my life and I love the opportunity he has I'm still paying for I pay it forward all the time and you much about safety I mean it made it really touched a lot of people all of your -- happen and I -- -- get got a lot.

That you know that but that movie and in particular you know you just it's one of those things that it was you know gone practiced more than ten years ago and you still hear from people -- -- Really had an impact on time ranks yeah.

While you're here today to talk about your new projects sassy pants this sounds like a lot of fun -- always serious serious topic yeah.

And -- -- about how well that I was reading about what the director had to say about this.

Dark comedy social commentary.

He said that it was an ode to controlling mops to tell us what the stories -- Right it's basically about a eighteen year old girl who's been smothered by her mother for for years and she home schools both children.

And when the girl thinks that she's going to be able to go to college and other surprises as -- doing online courses in the house sort of paranoid controlling mother says she runs away.

To find very gay dad he's living in a trailer park with his young boyfriend to guys my character.

And we try and fail to help her and she sort of has this strike out on her it's okay.

And it's it's it's it's a very.

A really fun comedy was just a lot of really crazy characters along the way and we're we're sort of one of these you know these little worlds that you pots and it's a little bit of the film.

And how did you come upon this project did you hear about it and reach out that they reach out to you.

I got the script I think a week before they were starting -- -- they had had got their financing to a certain point and then.

And some of their backers dropped down the producers and the director decided to -- among themselves they really wanted to make it.

And they sent me the script just on win and it made me laugh out -- -- -- it's a good sign down economies and it doesn't on the page.

And I was on the -- you know week later we shot in eighteen days on the Gaza are very very quick and was saying this was -- twice that 2010.

Early to guzzle up okay 2011 I heard that shooting conditions -- -- -- have some bad weather.

Yet because I think.

I wasn't there for all of this -- because I only had you know I think only six scenes in this film but I I think it rained.

Every time they wanted to be outside and this is a as scheduling there's no room for married in forty sentenced today so they made it works out.

We have a clip from the film again it's called sassy pants tell us what we're about to see what's happening in this if this is the -- in the mall.

I have decided that that the united Bethany -- I gonna go out shopping because she's been.

Obviously smothered by her mother and she needs to sort of developed her own style -- and shopping helped separate it does it really -- -- -- -- -- -- We've got -- -- it's somewhere.

-- -- I still haven't recovered from that Erica I.

Final punk rock flock of seagulls -- I think -- -- there and and the Harris said that it was a cross between Kate Gosselin and Adam Lambert -- -- his left -- that.

Notice things crashing into each other very accurate history if if -- like that.

And shorts and how quick -- that's right that was in the script a lot of the other little things was sort of feeling each other out and sets -- -- -- that'll bring about.

Black fingernails and we -- a lot of fun throwing as much as because I was sitting around.

No that's not the -- authentic it.

So what was coming and looking at that character compared to what you've done in the past -- from what we know you.

And ran past.

How easy -- hard was it to do that -- was it fun is so many actors we talked to you know they love the adventure of playing something totally different -- what was that like for.

I think that's really the case is most act is that these these roles that are so far from from.

-- you may be in real life for the most fun because you just have to dive into a completely there's no half measures or something like this and that.

Yes just a blasting and something that.

And and when you're young and there's not like a lot of exotic totally different types -- children characters in movies I think this is an -- restart.

To have these sort of fun variations on your personality can -- dive into that that is great now where you face these days sort of -- -- between Newark and LA I grew up in LA and went to school at NYU here.

And I love living here but -- work on mountain in LA -- the time rightly or during the storm.

-- -- -- I walked up here and I'll be walking -- the dark apartment no water at -- Nobody fleeing their friends in Brooklyn tonight because you know -- we're not really sure in the post conflict write it differently and he's like yeah yeah I mean there is there's not a lot of traffic now because there's no gas and is now out of cars on the road but on.

There's still -- -- you know the bridge -- on this walk -- if it's.

-- want people when -- hear your name and you know I've.

I brought up that the two films that you know I know -- from so well.

What do you want people when you look back your work from sassy pants back to the very beginning.

Of what you've done.

What do you what are some of the things that you hope people take away from your your acting career so far.

Maybe films that they haven't had a chance to take a look at I was gone through Netflix this weekend -- -- that again oh yeah something.

And gosh I mean I've I've been really lucky you know -- side there's just a lot of great scripts out there you know in the time that I've been acting.

You know if you say -- they perhaps little known little known films of mine is a film called the edges of the lord that I did a lie it was a while ago but and -- -- -- and is a holocaust drama that down.

Never got wide release that's one of the things -- Very proud out of and you know and then this film is when these things -- it's like it's a very small film and it's not gonna have you know very wide release although we are on iTunes and Netflix as well I think a lot of people see it.

But I just love getting the chance to do you.

Really different you know characters and these little films.

Or films that start leveling -- -- the -- you get the opportunity to have.

Right that's okay that's those my next question where can people find sassy pants because we want everybody to see this obviously it's hysterical -- I'm playing his hair.

-- where -- so people can find it.

ITunes and Netflix yet that's -- it's available on line it's also in limited release in Los Angeles and healer but how often a lot of people in New York going to be alluded to the theater right -- isn't a website that's celebs say yes you can you can find out ways to get a look at human right right and sent it back.

Sassy -- the movie dot com we always encourage our viewers to join in and chat with us and we do have a chat coming into you from IVs.

He writes or she writes wow this kid -- -- he's stayed out of trouble and out of the media spotlight -- -- you kids thank you wish the best thing not a kid but you know I think you probably do you hear that a lot of people.

You know we don't see you in the tabloids as we do others.

Hit you know I.

It's it's funny because.

In in this city area actually able to blend in pretty well.

You know and I think the image of a lot of a lot of people have of me is when I'm younger so.

It's it's kind of nice to be anonymous in a city like this gallon and that helps and you know because I I love.

Being around in promoting the films that with the other side of you know promoting yourself with with the press the tabloids usually like to keep myself pretty private.

Right and trio could be and I have one question somebody asked me on FaceBook and I it if I don't ice maybe should know the answers -- so forgive me if I don't.

If somebody wanted to know if you were going to do any work with any Star Wars movies are hound and since skywalker -- talk about.

I think they're referring to this story that dates from 94 or 95 when I was one of tens of thousands of kids that went and in.

Still OK like I like Star Wars I don't know if I'm doing toy.

So no I don't think I got very close to doing now ahead.

But aren't very good yeah and we Joel osment thank you so much for being here at the -- of sassy pants.

Check it out on Netflix and iTunes and can people find them -- No I don't have to and you don't have -- have -- you -- you look at this fabulous website people can find out can -- about your work and we encourage everyone to see sassy pants.

Thank you so much for being -- airlines.
