-- he is one of the few people in Hollywood will want to speak out against President Obama and during the Republican National Convention this summer.

Movie icon Clint Eastwood made headlines for this harsh critique of the administration.

Now earlier I had a chance to talk with him about the upcoming election in the state of the country.

And just like his speech at the RNC.

Eastwood was not mincing words about President Obama.

And joining us now Hollywood star himself the one and only highest.

And it's clinics for Clinton what -- the program perspective finally meet.

Good to be -- him.

Good to be within shocked and I appreciate it arm you said you wanted to make three points when you went to the Republican National Convention you said one U wanna point I'm not everyone.

Is left in Hollywood he made that point you talked about it did you don't Obama made a lot of broken promises.

And then the biggest point if somebody doesn't do a good job so Qaeda let him go.

-- tell us how you got involved in this.

How will they asked me if I want to come back there and and be involved with Syria convention I didn't know exactly.

How to be in involved and made most of people speaking.

I've pretty much -- scripted deck the kind of thing and I just also but maybe.

Just talk a little bit about.

Being.

Look movement -- Things just from just on the hard haven't figured that -- average citizen what wonders about.

And who -- wondering why we at this stage we are with the economy the way we're at this stage we -- the world.

You know I I tried to warn people about -- -- Barack Obama was we we got a lot of work back in 2007.

And 2000 innate.

You know kinda came out of nowhere never did a big deal in his life.

Voted present a lot as a state senator no real accomplishment in the US senate.

As I looked -- -- background is -- community organizer -- with acorn.

Hangs out with some pretty radical people Jeremiah Wright bill layers of set -- I try to warn people a little bit.

You kind of summed up how I feel now four years after him -- president.

He city's the greatest hoax ever perpetrated.

On the American people.

I think this story's -- -- be written and I don't know what happened but I just I don't think -- for some reason people got caught up in 2008.

And it seems that many are still caught up today your reaction.

Well that's there are people lending and -- a lot of a lot of people who who -- who feel.

Dissatisfied.

Senator from voting for him last time.

Are afraid to admit that there may be made a mistake so it's better to be overly defensive.

And just say well I voted for him again I I just just -- to give people and then when I was -- the RNC -- the idea that maybe they could.

They could they should think about.

Other alternatives.

And if any you know -- rather than just promoting a party line.

And I course a lot of people who were on the Republican side who voted for him last time we'll probably have regrets.

And that is if you have regrets think about somebody else is somebody -- offered something else like a business background.

-- the governor Romney has had a great business background.

He's extremely well educated -- several degrees from Harvard.

And it is including.

You know businesses including a law degree he's -- he's just a -- kind of a perfect guy for the job.

And and then I think go along with Paul Ryan you got a great team itself out -- ready to go and I think they can correct a lot of problems that we've had.

The I don't know I -- just I think it's kind of I dedicate to get too simplistic.

But -- also don't want a complicated it's just a certain feeling you have within yourself it is time to speak up I have nothing against this a -- of this and I have nothing against.

-- of the people on staff I did I do it.

I I find -- in my system itself feeling very resentful about this whole thing has been been Ghazi.

That's been kind of a tragedy did -- initiative never happened or it should have been an attempt.

All you can ask -- there's this crisis like that is to make an attempt that's the American way.

You know of the thing that concerns me the most I've been really blessed in this country and I -- I've just reading a lot of value before the interview I know you feel the same way about you in your career in your life friend and -- followed your whole career and I'm a big fan.

It really bothers me you know my parents grew up in the depression to see that right now in America one in six Americans are poverty.

25 million Americans unemployed.

49 million Americans on food stamps and in four years to six trillion in new -- which he wouldn't go bankrupt it's.

Mathematically it's not gonna add up.

One I think the thing that really grabbed me when you spoke at the Republican Convention.

Is towards the end of your speech I enjoyed all of it but this really grabbed me when you said.

We don't in this country and you -- on the say that you don't politicians.

They're employees of bars.

And you went on today know that you know it's important -- realize that hey if somebody doesn't do the job.

You let him go it's upbeat but for some reason this seems to be an emotional attachment.

The President Obama -- up why is that such an important thing -- say.

Well I just think it's important it's there is -- the the American people deserve.

They do they deserve the best and mandate because they are the best.

And I've been lucky in my career to have their support and I know a lot of other people have to another.

The lines of work.

But it's you know they do they deserve.

Really -- straightforward.

Talk.

A lot of it but a lot of what we've been seeing recently is still not straightforward and of course is when you and -- kind of political campaigns.

-- people are insulting one side or the other.

But some of it's really kind of gone to extremes have me accusing one side of killing people and now let's sort of thing.

And then of course you watch when he wants to debate -- in the second debate for instance.

There was a big the president got very uptight and said I had -- I take exception to this if you're insinuating that anything went wrong.

Well you know once when you start overreacting to that -- a good sign that you're -- -- -- selling the point.

If you really if you really satisfied with that your position on something he just say hey you district calmly presents something but if you get.

If you get in a Tizzy over it then all of a sudden.

They -- OK I guess I'm suspicious here.

And coming up more of my exclusive one on one interview with Clint Eastwood and the.
