-- dead heat in the sunshine state the fight for Florida sizzling in the final days -- campaign we spoke with the Florida senator Marco Rubio.

NIC is there thank you for having me I want to talk about the election now let's start first with probably the most important issue and -- daughter.

She's doing good thank you -- asked -- she won back to school today so.

She's doing great it was a scare about we're just four -- were blessed.

We also -- a video of you alongside the road our opponents every parent's nightmare to get that -- gonna take the service stops all of us as we feel we chased down the story and yeah and -- and look at as a horse race also remember the important things.

As sort of gonna do for your candidate.

Well we're gonna win I'm very confident off for a -- close some of these elections are always close in Florida but but we're gonna win and we're excited about that so are -- we're working hard and governor Romney was is there yesterday and I think is coming back before the election were excited about the progress we've made like I said of -- puts it this -- I'd rather be us than them.

-- of our people turn out to vote -- they stand in line on Election Day and waited out because they're going to be some long ways unfortunately because our ballots really long.

-- of our people do that we're gonna win Florida we're gonna win the presidency.

But in 2000 -- to.

President -- one of the Latino vote in Florida by a large margin fifteen points and the the -- vote in Florida quite know the numbers there was about 14% of the Florida electric.

That is a huge number that tried to forever Republicans -- -- tried to -- grab that back from the Democrats.

What's your thought and Latino vote.

We're gonna do very well and -- better with a Hispanic vote in Florida than anywhere else in the country and I think we're gonna do much better than 2008.

I think -- we even have a chance to win them and I'm not promising now but I think we have a chance to do that because.

I don't think any community in Florida's been hurt more than Hispanic community in terms of unemployment in terms of the loss of the ability to create new jobs and -- new businesses.

And you start to see that percolate a minute you're starting to see that that reflect and and the support that we're getting so.

I'm very excited about how what we're gonna do among Hispanics in Florida what she campaigned for president have -- governor Romney for president he.

One of Pennsylvania right now we came to Pennsylvania really -- here in Delaware county and I had a great rally about 300 people -- -- fifty people a lot of energy it was fantastic I was earlier in the day in New Hampshire.

Have been Ohio tomorrow.

-- about a multiple times in Colorado and forget all the other players who went to Iowa last week.

So we've gotten around and we're happy to do and this is a lot of excitement out there everywhere we go of course been all over Florida in the last week when governor Romney as well.

Everywhere we go you can see the excitement I mean it's real problem -- it's -- that we -- sensitive.

-- where we're really excited about it.

-- -- -- big country don't need to remind anybody of that I'm curious as you went to all those different states which -- usually the same issues that and and can you even tell because -- these rallies -- -- -- speaking to the -- that -- -- that they have -- a lot of interaction -- -- so busy -- going someplace -- but it isn't the same -- do you think.

He's absolutely right you know you do because of you work that what they call the rope line are.

You get to talk to people on the ground they'll tell him -- -- -- concerns about the economy and jobs that's very real there's a real profound sense that the election is a choice.

Between two very different types of future between one where the government will -- increasingly become more dominant over the economy or -- -- future where we kind of re embrace of free enterprise system.

Hell I'll educate the kind of prosperity in the kind of middle class that that -- expected from America and -- and people get the deficits election is about -- Dinosaurs a lot of people have voted for Barack Obama in 2008 who thought it was going to be a unifier that brought our country together.

And are very disappointed that our country today as as divided as it's ever men.

And they see governor Romney if someone was a track record of bringing people together and tell us something essay here today in Pennsylvania which I think it's true.

I'm a Republican I love the Republican Party.

But I love America more and I think our folks who would tell you that as well today here that there it's.

They want to -- is gonna bring America together and help save America and bring America its economy back to where expected to be.

-- anything be a bad thing if President Obama -- reelected.

Would that be bad for America you know I think it sets us back in the sense that his ideas are wrong for the future they're just not the right ideas to get us moving forward.

I don't think it -- the president Obama's reelected and it's not gonna happen but if he were to be reelected.

We're not gonna have a kind of economic growth that that we need to have come to expect.

I doubt they'll be a real plan to deal with a debt in a positive way I don't think we'll get a plan to save Medicare.

And I don't think we're gonna have a pro American energy policy so it's not just things that that bad things that might happen -- the good things that won't happen it's that.

It's a positive thing that we're gonna have to wait and -- -- that we can wait another four years for some of these things.

Yeah I don't you know but some Republicans are -- -- a look critical that there's not attention from the candidates in the Republican Party on the road above Ben -- in the attack and the consulate.

-- is that something that should be spoken about about by your party as we approach Election Day or not and if not why not.

Now we have -- continues it was a great piece yesterday by senators McCain Graham -- John Johnson talk about.

-- -- -- unanswered questions is going to be hearings when we get back I spoke out on that last week and wonder what took so long with regards to having hearings and there's no doubt that irrespective of this election.

We have to get to the bottom of what happened there because there was either a massive intelligence failure or something even more switches you know there's -- a deliberate attempts to.

You know not fully state what happened big for political reasons not -- -- -- pre judge what happened that either one is about a result and we need to know that.

And I and we think that has come up you know -- a busy week between the campaign the unfortunate storm -- hurt so many people on the Jersey Shore across the northeast and but this is an issue we're not gonna let up on even an.

Of course Governor Christie is grateful for any assistance from the federal government from President Obama.

-- they get help his citizens of New Jersey that's his job some have said though that he has been quite effusive and gone overboard in support of President Obama he was a keynote speaker and critical of that President Obama on the campaign -- any thoughts about that.

Well look I'm from Florida we have so many storms we've we've gotten hit -- them on the -- during the sixteen month period between 2004 and 2005.

We had eight named storms hurricanes come through our state so we've been on the other end of that from time and we know how important that is it of this consume your state government.

And terms of responding and I think that's what governor Crist has been focused on this week just -- I'm not sure right now's a good time to do a political analysis of what it all means all I can tell you is that.

As -- Floridians on the receiving end of some of these storms.

Our heart goes out to these folks because long after the cameras and moved on to another story they're going to be trying to rebuild their lives and their communities that is a long.

The costly and painful process and -- lives and in some -- some folks who never even rebuild their lives there because of the storm so.

What is what's the best for them and and hopefully you know we'll do all we cannot be helpful to him.

I have made toys and they say that they -- turnaround is gonna win Florida by so -- -- out on the -- what's coming points to these gonna win Florida by.

Well you know -- volley as one point and I mean everything about that is is great but I you know it's going to be -- Florida's a competitive say everyone knows that and there's about you know 48% of the people of Florida are gonna vote for Barack Obama no matter what but we think we can get beyond that we didn't get more than that and I think we're gonna do very very well I'm very confident about Florida I can't guarantee it because we got to go out and -- you -- have to do it for this is what I can guarantee you.

Give the folks watching this program tonight and support governor Romney vote and get the people they know that's important to vote.

Even of the lines along even in the wait so long and they do their part we're gonna win Florida we're gonna win the White House.
