Hope our eyes so let's -- -- to politics now from -- because there are several hotly contested races.

That are up for grabs on Tuesday that we want -- to be up up to speed on it because they really could impact.

The balance of power in the senate and I will be covering some of these on Tuesday night so we want to give you the background.

-- keep in mind that for all of this right now Democrats hold the majority in the senate.

-- -- Republicans have 47 seats and 33.

Out of the hundreds senate seats are on the ballot.

This Tuesday coming.

Michael Brown is a senior political analyst for the Washington examiner and he has a long history in following all of these races very closest -- glad to have and let us.

He's a Fox News contributor good morning Michael lock on.

Good morning good to be with the American get a headline in terms of how you're looking at the senate races and then we'll kind of go through a couple of them one by one.

Well the senate races.

You know there's a lot up for grabs it looked early in the cycle like the Republicans were gonna make gains and and knocked down little that 53 vote majority of the senate -- with a two independents voting with them.

It it a lot of those races have been turning against the Republicans.

And you've got a couple Republican held seats in trouble.

But at the same time you've got seven seats out that are currently held by the Democrats of which Democrats are -- current polling but their running under that magic 50% number yeah so I think the senate could go either way you could see a net democratic gain in the senate you -- see a net Republican gain any takeover of the majority.

I -- gonna -- to some of these and if you could you know sort of give us the thumbnail sketch here whether or not it's an incumbent that we're dealing with whether or not this would be -- -- flip.

We're gonna -- TDs as we take a look this is Nebraska as Bob Kerrey tries to return to the political scene in his home state.

But Nebraska that's a seat that's held by -- -- Democrat.

He's is retiring Bob Kerrey's trying to come back from the seat he retired from twelve years ago.

Deb Fischer the Republicans seemed to be way ahead of what's -- heavily Republican state there was a recent Omaha world herald poll that showed a much closer race.

I think presidential coattails will have some significant effect since the mid ninety's we've been less of a street voting does a split ticket.

Voting public and we've been more likely to vote straight tickets that's gonna work against Bob -- for Deb Fischer in Nebraska.

I -- take a look at the next when that we have.

And this is the Wisconsin race we just saw the former governor Wisconsin Tommy Thompson as he was introducing governor Romney in his home state.

There's a look at how this was shapes up.

Very tight right now against represented Tammy Baldwin might call.

Well got Tommy Thompson came back to Wisconsin after working in Washington -- lobbyist and after he won the late.

Republican primary seriously because by narrow -- it.

Tammy Baldwin the incumbent congresswoman from Madison.

Hit him with a barrage of ads calling him a lobbyist she took the a distinct lead in polls for -- -- Now that's -- -- build more recent surveys have been more favorable to Tommy Thompson.

Wisconsin is a target state in the polling has been very close there you're seeing Mitt Romney is speaking as we speak in west Alice Wisconsin.

I think that's erased that either they Romney and Thompson will win or.

Barack Obama -- Tammy ball.

-- and other coattails situation Michael and I have to leave it there we're going to be following these real closely over the coming days with your help thanks for being here today.

Thank you.
