-- may be the only person America.
But I am far more enthusiastic.
About President Obama.
Are those former President Bill Clinton at a campaign stop in Florida earlier today and it seems like president Obama's most high profile supporters finally coming to terms.
With the dwindling excitement surrounding the anointed one.
-- certainly not alone now we've in the New York Times cannot ignore governor Romney's forward momentum and is even admitting that Pennsylvania is quote in play.
There's a quote there is a tangible sense.
Seed in Romney yard signs on the expansive lawns of homes in the well heeled suburbs.
And heard in the excited voices of Republican mothers who make phone calls to voters in their spare time that this race is now tilting towards governor Romney.
So is set Pennsylvania upset a possibility here with the latest on that list status of the race syndicated column.
Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer.
Charles you don't talk and off their personal look what -- back -- -- compliment Bill Clinton but.
You know it seems like the president goes gives.
Christie up promises you know he's gonna acting all presidential but it flies off again to all -- places -- Vegas.
And since then one and three gas stations are closed six hours people -- waiting online for gasoline.
Tempers are flaring electricity is scarce and people are getting.
The help they need -- and pop panel says -- -- get a T editor as soon as possible this is five days and today us.
And I'm thinking that whatever goodwill the president had is backfiring big time is America's America's -- government's incompetence on display.
Well it depends how -- gets covered and how much coverage there will be.
You know Obama in my line as -- luckiest politician I've ever seen.
Part of his rise in the senate the races there's a long history of that.
Sort of unusual things happening that.
Pave the way for him here he is -- I go back to Monday of this week.
Romney's on a road he's increasing slightly every day his lead in national post catching up.
It in the swing states and then sandy it's personality freezes the race second of all monopolize -- the news so.
Nothing else comes out and inevitably you get to play commander and chief you get to be the situation room of course he wasn't on Libya but that's another issue.
And then of course.
He gets to stand out there with -- governor of New Jersey hey Republicans so he can outplay the bipartisan.
-- he's run the most partisan.
Administration probably -- the last fifty years so he gets all of those images that are translated priceless stuff.
That you couldn't possibly get an advertising.
And then there's a subliminal thing.
Which is in a disaster the party of government has the upper hand.
If there's anything that we need government for its war national emergencies.
Domestic and farm so it gives this -- will government you know perhaps it's the thing we need.
And then of course you you're exactly right the first three days of a disaster.
That's the solidarity faced -- -- faced when everybody is looking really good.
And then he takes off and of course now is the -- -- this is inevitable.
There's a huge disaster of the government cannot.
Do everything it promises.
But the question is will this be local coverage which I suspected will.
And won a national media fly off to Vegas with the President Bush I think they're gonna do.
You know but -- -- I don't know the answer to that.
-- suspect like Brit Hume said that you know what I guess it's on our shoulders to tell the country.
That we've been lied to about -- Ghazi.
That things that we were told they're not true they knew wasn't true they were watching in the -- -- real time so maybe that's maybe that's our role but I think it's deeper than that.
This anger this pain.
This is his Katrina as I say.
Because it is imploding.
Charles there are people who temperatures are going down fast.
There are people freezing there -- people dumpster diving waiting six hours for gasoline out there there is no help in site.
And you know that we've got crews from Alabama that are being turned away by unions.
And called scabs and scum exempt -- they come up to New York to help.
Restore power for people that need power.
Those are the supporters of Obama what I that's story's not going to be about a state under wraps for four days it's impossible.
Well it is a graduated under wraps and getting the publicity.
Does that all these stories -- it was still his -- in Katrina.
And there's big difference Katrina you had George Bush is president.
And here you got Barack Obama as president -- -- -- -- before the election the national media are so invested in this guy.
They're gonna do everything they can to drag him over the finish line.
And if they have to ignore this they would know it's a way that it northern Gaza now you can't ignore it completely.
But it but he's not gonna get the blanket coverage that the feel good stuff got last week.
And that's why I think it's helped.
Obama -- slightly recovered in the national.
Will run at a time last question I have for you who's gonna win this election Charles Krauthammer.
Your best prediction.
Romney a very close.
But he'll win the popular.
-- I think about half a point Electoral College probably.
Very narrow margin.
All right Charles Krauthammer has come a long life tonight -- not Tuesday maybe even into Wednesday morning.
But if you're right and I'll take a half a point on predicting -- -- I've got a friendly gentlemen's bet dinner.
And I'll be more than happy that day thanks to be -- Pleasure.
All right that's all the time we.
