Now for the after the show show Brian you wanna tell this story -- OK so Monday night the big storm -- and you saw on television.

Tuesday morning we did the program.

About five minutes before we were done you've got a message well yeah I mean disaster loan balance in mass pequot where I'm located Amityville Seifert londoners at holy area around the south port of -- -- which is not a beach community it's a residential community.

Within.

By about 8 o'clock to 10 o'clock on Monday night.

The storm happened water came up came from the day.

And had a foot of the whole first floor was destroyed that the first floor or how to -- hasn't destroyed but that -- you look across the street there -- living room was halfway fall.

And then right next to me it was up to.

My neighbors chest and then across from me two houses exploded.

Now this has to get hold on the shop for -- is -- story.

About six blocks away from me.

This house always going underwater and they thought their people of size of the fire trucks came by the fire truck got stuck another fire truck went to was a bigger one.

-- get on board I'll help you get there.

Couldn't get -- they got stuck in the -- if you could see in the front the -- huge and huge tire tracks -- the water got so I was going over the truck.

So the guys -- a -- wrapped around his waist swim.

Broke down a window went into the window and his guys -- on the second floor on the second floor and spent the next four hours riding out the storm wondering if they'd have to go up to the top of the roof.

And they -- able to change close to the people who live there is -- freezing.

And they found that that was a place -- the Hofstra lacrosse team.

When he found that this happened to the Myers the whole team came down the next day.

And believer that that's cleaned up the whole place was docs and a mess.

And that which is one of the interesting stories it happened that day and -- that shows some of the frustration people and and you know better than anybody.

You know you -- store you see on the television.

You know all of the Red Cross people -- at a location.

Well here in New York City -- people -- PLO because Red Cross showed up with cookies.

And hot chocolate and he wanted close and they want to blankets but they had cookies instead.

Did you see how long -- you saw red cross and how want to use soft FEMA wealthy in my understand.

Contacted him say they can't get to our neighbor of this -- -- -- -- You would think that the emergency people would've thought about it at a time they can't get gas and did the adjusters -- the evaluate -- whatever they're called.

Are stuck in Brooklyn and queens hotels.

Because they can't get a hotel here.

And they were at -- and adjusters.

The justice or insurance amateur without a -- people who that the -- -- -- gonna help you get yet but you're entitled to old neighborhood in these people have actually nothing says now to scramble for hotel rooms.

But now this is going to be key time for pres Obama offered -- volatile.

For all the senators and all the politicians how quick can they get all the stuff here right I mean they get a start dropping food they get a stop -- any gas from other players your neighbor you you knew Tuesday morning you -- heard a story that what are your neighbor's houses and burned to the ground that's the house that's one of the house's it ignited a house next to it.

And that person moved in two days before.

And that's what's left of the house right next to it.

So they exploded into each just the -- yet so this is just let me I am not a -- for that the victim compared anybody else.

But I'm going to be able to give me an idea what's happening from the inside.

Because people got an -- flood insurance I heard things like oh -- -- flood insurance could cover you but this is a surge.

Silly surge might not be blood worthy of that it was like -- hurricane.

-- was a -- well water water coming up that's -- -- well there's going to be there's talk that that might be a fight let's see what happens with that he didn't have flood insurance.

I think -- a lot of trouble I think you're probably right and you had to because your wife reminded you within the past year -- redo this so lynching story this coming out with they did about two years ago is rezone a lot of areas Cusick said insurers don't -- to ensure.

And they got to -- them flooded area so they gave you say said how to 266 dollars a month you're no longer a flood zone blooms of 600 -- -- a year rather see thought.

What and I -- that I can say put that is something else -- but at the last really say you know what let's just leave it and most people didn't.

So a lot of people in this area who have never gotten hit by storm without footage it's.

So let's talk a little bit about just -- -- -- -- -- how should go in and the water came up to about that low or about higher should say.

Just below the outlets Wednesday mostly analysts tested OK okay so so.

And we saw in one of the pictures that you've already had a crew come in and they've cut the sheet rock.

You know about six inches higher than the water line.

We that you got it because -- -- -- and waltzes in in the wood floors and they start to Buckley that they don't buckle right away.

And if -- goes in the -- gets worse now.

-- we'll get -- he would -- you made it worse by leaving it there and that your so we decided within two days when it a rip it up as all the water damage.

Not -- was that way it.

But underneath it was wet and then even the even the slab was with the cement is still went underneath I can't I can't imagine -- and the great thing about you is.

You know people -- you for years your great guy but you come -- you you realize what has happened but you're you're trying to keep a sense of humor about it you said earlier.

Look it's just the first floor.

-- a lot of people lost their houses right yeah and the thing is now it's to get gas for those people that thought I had time to get generators for making you guess that it wants.

Guys that are children was on my block she said by Sunday -- mobile 50% easier it's over the -- you from -- Now that's great in that she showed up is fantastic.

But now she's on the record here.

So let's see if taken let's -- they can step up just one of the things -- is stepping up your son stepped up -- we haven't talked about bride's family I would imagine the kids would be freaked out.

When you when your integrity house because of the hurricane that that's scary -- -- Really he's he's become a young man opened up yet he's helped out my -- going sixteen hours Damon at my son is sixteen just was really pro active but everybody is and so I think coming to -- one has an -- clean at another house -- -- -- -- you -- and a then the but unfortunately the other thing that people have is looters -- got to watch a lot of people staying in -- house with guns.

Because they've had with people taking their stuff.

Well just know that there are a lot of people praying for you -- on in the kids and and a lot of people everywhere are hurt and bad yes -- it happened so you know and will be back here tomorrow six to ten and then six to ten the next day sixty and then.

And then it's gonna be itching to see.

Who can get -- their schools lit.

In order to have voting booths or who is -- to go looking for that.

Humvee in your neighborhood -- that is the new voting Booth.

And that could decide local elections and national actually -- -- that they can about the election.

Should you be thinking about going home more than over the -- -- make it tomorrow.

-- -- -- -- -- dig deeper sense of humor but I just don't know if they can't you know to have you back we'll see you tomorrow off the Internet we'll see on cable.

Maybe some day broadcast we will maybe --
