You talk to the thousands of families that have been impacted there who have lost their jobs whose livelihoods are dependent upon the coal industry you talk to.

That the hard working families who are paying more for electricity for their homes.

And you talk to the business owners who can't keep pace with the sky -- energy prices as well.

This is coal country.

And I can tell you everywhere you go you -- stop the war on cold -- fire Obama.

The people were pretty riled up.

Yeah it seems as though the president when he made his comment I'll paraphrase essentially get you could sort of coal plant -- you go bankrupt.

Him saying associates being the vice president say one point of those this thing is clean coal would not working coal country.

No it doesn't work -- you know Joseph Biden said in 2007 that coal is more dangerous than high fructose corn syrup.

And terrorist.

As you mentioned the president said from the outset that he was going to bankrupt those companies that tried to start -- operate coal fired power plants.

And that's the source of our energy there we've got enough coal in America.

Are particularly here in the Ohio valley.

Two to fuel America's energy needs for generations.

There's a place for -- America's energy future I'm confident that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan know that.

And will see a turnaround after -- Here's a stat that does surprises me having lived in Cincinnati and Cleveland myself I did not know this.

Coal provides.

Almost 90%.

Of Ohio's power in almost 50% of America's power.

I guess we -- it.

Absolutely.

And -- it is absolutely unimaginable that the administration would attack.

The very -- worst of our nation's energy that has fueled our innovative engines.

For generations now -- -- water the people on Ohio supposed to do like you said Gretchen 187%.

Of our energy almost 90%.

Comes from coal.

It's are responsible.

And we also stated new federal and new federal rules as they've put into place will prematurely close 204 -- units in 25 states.

Including your state of Ohio Pennsylvania Virginia and North Carolina.

So this is this is a policy the president's talked about has implemented and now it's coming back to bite him perhaps.

Well you know and it's not just the market attack on -- going after the coal fired power plants like the president has announced but.

The Department of the Interior is also trying to implement a new rule.

A rewrite of what's called -- string buffer zone rule.

That would virtually shut down underground coal mining cut coal production across America -- 50%.

And and put tens of thousands of of hard working coal miners out of work.

Not the right path for.
