Nearly two months after the attack on the US consul in Libya that killed four Americans Fox News has learned.

The FBI is finally getting access to the sole suspect in custody his name is Alley on the -- RC and he's currently being -- in Tunisia.

He was arrested in the days after the attack but was until senator Lindsey Graham and company.

And our next guest included put pressure on the authorities in Tunisia that the US gain access to this guy what's.

So long and this is an FBI that didn't go to the crime scene.

The murder scene.

For a week joining us right now Georgia senator Saxby Chambliss senator you got access but there's even some conditions on the -- isn't there.

Well the important I'm Brian is that we do now have access to this individual and they're usually are conditions of some sort that are are placed on.

Interrogations by the host country but the important thing is that we now do have face to face access to this gap.

The other assault started not long after I left you last week in New York went over to the FBI office there that -- charge of this investigation.

And they had these very professional men and women who really do a good job.

Every single -- investigating ground.

We're really frustrated -- -- that because they were -- being asked operate with one hand behind their back.

We knew this guy was in custody and yet nobody was doing any thing to get a face to face interrogation -- him so.

It was.

But a matter of senator Graham and just putting a little pressure on the two nations and they capitulated fairly quickly.

It was like almost like nobody even I -- them.

-- bring me into the the the way this process works I imagine the FBI would be pressuring guys like huge to get them access not the other way around.

You pressuring -- of the government to get XFBI access.

Well the FBI has certain protocol and they are not involved in the policies.

They leave that to the policy professionals.

But -- law enforcement individuals and and and they were they were very frustrated to Brad about the fact that they were stuck in Tripoli.

Did not have the necessary security to -- and then got it to conduct their investigations player that market cooperated from the Libyans.

Nor they get cooperation from the United States -- We see senator there was a UN meeting where we could have had an axis of the Tunisian leadership the president one on one where he could have pressured them immediately to let them know anybody did you get.

We need to -- And also talk about some threats it could be coming out of that country in particular that didn't take place in as far as I know.

The White House who pledges to get the assailant to bring them to justice hasn't even put pressure what -- have to come from your branch of government.

-- it should not mean that's again another example of just very poor leadership coming out of this White House.

As -- senator Feinstein a disaster Graham what about -- fine he's a Democrat with great you know she's at she's a leader.

I haven't talked to -- about this I'm not sure where she is it unravels so quickly.

Senator Graham and I decide hey nobody else is gonna do this by ago we're gonna at least give -- a shot she's chair for -- our folks I don't mean to interrupt you were.

She's chairperson of the senate select intelligence committee.

Why do you -- to how could she not be interested in this is she being pressured by our party to stay low.

Well obviously brag you'd have to ask her that I don't know -- understand the last few days of a campaign herself.

She had a reason -- Hampshire but.

Now this was just a no brainer.

To to you have a brand new country our brand new government forming in -- country.

There -- to be an ally the United States and as -- explained to the Georgia if you truly are going to be an ally the United States and -- our system's -- you've got to help us with situations like this.

On the and the charge -- agreed immediately and obviously our folks are on the ground with access.

Anyone who says is pure politics doesn't know that -- actually taking action and moving this process forward and this is proof -- Chambliss thanks so much for spending your Sunday with us.

-- get a bit where the brown all right now -- -- last forty.
