A new George Washington University poll shows the election is in a dead heat.

Both men getting 48%.

Support among likely voters.

One person who will help us break it down all the results on Tuesday night joins me now Crist I want you know well -- Fox News digital politics editor and host a power play.

A foxnews.com live -- you you have an important role on Tuesday because you're actually part of the decision desk and year.

One of those guys who actually needs to make a call in the respective races and that's a scary position in the end.

Never -- doubt -- no fear whatsoever it's totally cool where you guys know you're doing it and I really respect the work you do because it's a bigoted -- group of professionals I wanna talk about these polls.

Columbus time at the -- Columbus Dispatch in Ohio now has it been basically toss up fifty to 48 in the president's favor.

Tribune.

In Pennsylvania does a poll that shows it tied up in Pennsylvania Chris tied.

In Pennsylvania.

Which was supposed to be safely in the president's call -- along.

And in New Hampshire now which again we have been told was -- -- for the president tied at 4848.

Again.

These -- the latest well -- polls and there was likely voters.

Where are we today two days before.

We are and had a very horse race we're in the most exciting presidential election since 2000 certainly and we're going down and then you know you and I talked about this last week.

And that's that's we knew that the storm was going to change the race where at least prevent us from seeing what was going on underneath and the polling that you got during the storm.

Maybe was a little misleading -- it was hard to do harder to do anyway.

With the storm passed in the recovery underway and people moving onto to the election and thinking about this.

We see the contour of the race substantially the same as it was a week ago which is.

Independence helping Romney that we see the president regaining some ground with independence -- independence.

Helping Romney into a time maybe a slight lead and a couple of places and this very this race very much alive going down to the wire with Mitt Romney closing pretty strong.

A -- by the independence with whom Mitt Romney has had an advantage in this race thus far but two polls out today Politico and ABC news.

Both show the gap has you has been eliminated that now -- the men are tied up when it comes to independence.

Politico disclose in the political polish and say it was a battleground states poll which is really -- with all due respect for the rest of the nation all indicators about for -- purposes.

The political discloses that with respected the independence they pulled -- they say the reason.

It has.

Now become even is because what will you tell me.

Well that we've seen this before -- Republicans complain about these polls have too many Democrats and the more the truth did you go out you survey there are people who are.

They vary in their view some days they don't feel like -- -- some days they do.

Now we're seeing the same thing for Republicans I think I think what we're seeing here is that a independents who a month ago said.

Don't call me any Republican now our identifying with the Republican Party Romney's making this big hearted big close.

He's reaching out to the middle I mean if you think about the most important moment in Romney's debate against Barack Obama the first one on October 3.

-- was when he said I come from a democratic state and I governed and I found a way to bring people together closing on a unity message is a good way to have independents and moderate independents.

Would not like the Republican Party before -- you know maybe these guys are okay maybe we'll take a chance on them.

Oh what is happening with the early voting we're going to be joined by Michael Barone and in a little -- he's made some well let me sounds like Dick Morris -- -- It's big predictions about what's gonna happen in this race.

Predicting a Ronnie landslide but as you read his piece he talks about the advantage he continues to see he does not -- -- knows the -- never say very well.

The big advantage and early voting.

For the Republicans know it's not that Mitt Romney's winning early -- it's that he's hanging tight he's keeping it about even and you tell me that doesn't that doesn't historically happen.

That doesn't have been Democrats win the election by winning the early vote and then they lose Election Day.

But -- -- they win elections because they when the early vote now we don't know how many of these votes are Republicans cannibalizing.

That what's gonna happen on Election Day and we don't know how this changes the outlook but I will tell you this and this is unmistakable as a gauge of voter enthusiasm for the two parties.

This is the strongest indication we have the Republicans who in the past haven't done this.

Are fired up as the president would say and ready to go and their marching in -- doing this this has got to Horton the Romney campaign.

As they say instead of going into Election Day having to win by a big margin in the votes that are cast on Tuesday now they just need to win and that's that's a better place to be it.

One final question I wanna get to Paul Krugman of the New York Times comes out of the piece today that basically says you are stupid.

If you report that this is still a horse race or if you believe that this is still a contest he suggests President Obama.

Has a huge advantage anybody who says otherwise is -- -- is.

Lazy -- or doing a disservice.

To those they are serving.

Well you know mr.

Krugman wants that to be true I believe that that it's very hard sometimes for people to separate the difference between what they want to be true.

In what is true and this happens on both sides Republicans say Romney's gonna win and you know you you mentioned a couple of people who have.

Projected huge victories for the Republican.

Conservatives want to see that -- liberals wanna see this doing with the argument on the left is.

Is it Obama always had this in the bag Mitt Romney was never serious and I think actually that kind of thinking hurt the president because they didn't.

Treat Romney like a worthy adversary they didn't treat him Munich patriotic big hearted way they dealt with this in a small negative dismissive way and it made the president look small.

And now they find themselves tied and the two men are tied it in Pennsylvania which is a little wind blowing given -- -- -- like twenty point advantage.

About -- had in that state not too long -- Chris thanks --
