The last lap in the race for this White House not without controversy after a comment by President Obama during a campaign stop in Springfield Ohio Friday.

Governor Romney c.'s -- and take a listen.

Don't -- well.

Was.

Quoted -- the best revenge.

President Obama asked his supporters.

To vote for revenge.

For revenge.

Instead I asked the American people to vote for a love of country.

Sean Spicer the communications director for the Republican National Committee shot you don't think that voting for revenge flies very well among the American public.

Good morning -- no I don't.

I think the American people are looking for real bold change.

And the reason that we've been able to expand about a number of battleground states in this election.

It's because of the three -- intensity independents and issues and intensity our base is fired up their enthusiastic much more so than democratic base.

We're seeing.

A huge it's well in our ground game the terms of the number of voter contacts.

And independents.

Than there was no matter what poll you look at governor Romney's leading from.

You know 910 points although it to 20/20 points with a number of independents who -- -- with them and on issues.

People are looking for Mitt Romney they're she's showing that he's the candidate -- talking about the big solutions -- the problems we face whether it's the economy or the -- energy independence.

So and all of those areas we've got what is gonna take to propel us over to two victory tomorrow night okay to -- him and I'm sure you heard Ed Henry just say he's been talking with sources inside the Obama campaign and they say they're pretty come -- Confident that it's going to be a blowout for Obama.

Right and if you look at the two most precious things that I campaign has going into the end it's their time in their money.

We're putting our time our money in -- expanding.

The number of battleground states.

The Minnesota Wisconsin Pennsylvania.

New Hampshire Allstate said Jim Messina said that were very safe Obama's seat states a couple months ago were putting our time and energy into -- because we're expanding the map the number of states that are able Ted that we think are are in play whereas on the flip side again look at what Ed mentioned in terms of where they're spending their top surrogate.

To a place like Pennsylvania because they know it's close they know governor Romney's message is resonating there.

And -- -- defense and all of those states whether it's Wisconsin Minnesota New Hampshire Pennsylvania.

They are the ones on defense were out there expanding the map and and again you look at time and money.

Where were putting -- and where they're putting there is it shows it tells the whole story while Democrats say that expanding the map is a sign of desperation on the part of Republicans Pennsylvania for instance hasn't voted for Republican president since 1988.

You really think Pennsylvania is winnable.

Absolutely -- not only -- it's -- but that's.

Mean that's like saying that the team.

Bad -- that surging at the end of the game is only running up this or only trying to score more points because.

They're afraid of possibly losing -- media to makes no sense we are literally.

Expanding the map in -- places like Pennsylvania.

Wisconsin Minnesota they're not -- and so they other one's a couple months ago talked about going into places like.

Arizona Missouri Indiana -- were not playing you know they're not going into places that they thought -- safe they've taken more states off the map they're not in North Carolina because they know.

That that's that's going to be Romney country so.

Again that they're talking points sound good body when you look at the reality of where their putting their candidates and their top surrogates and where they're putting their money.

There's no question if they're on defense and governor Romney's in the in intensity and enthusiasm.

For governor Romney and Paul Ryan is what's driving.

I asked to be able to expand into the states and and it's not about to seventy anymore for -- John.

This is about 30310315.

You think you can get that many votes all right well -- I John I'll tell you when you go out on the road and see some of the size of the crowds are out there these people that are waiting in the cold.

For hours on end just to hear and see governor Romney or Paul Ryan it's unbelievable them.

They enthusiasm that you see on the ground the number of phone calls that people are well in -- make -- to go knock on their neighbors' doors I've never seen anything like it.

All right we'll see what happens starting tomorrow.

I'm have a -- that's gonna take a few days to get this thing ironed out but -- I -- and I -- let us.

Maybe it'll -- out there will be a great night for us hey John thank you guys John Spicer thanks for her being NASA to regular guest of ours here on happening.
