Then always at the president's Iraq -- had more rock stars supporting a daisy right now Columbus, Ohio.

But -- the crowds Bruce Springsteen has done.

That's an area where the president has a distinct advantage is whether that.

Residents of the more votes is anyone's guess.

Wanted to go press signs that Democrats hope overtaking the house is well maybe not it's such a -- thing as -- -- the white house with what they think will be -- into the White House.

Right now Democrats would need 25 seats to win back that body.

And the polls indicate that at best they might get five Chris van Holland is the top ranking Democrat on the house looks really good to have you congressman.

What you -- little -- they could be there to be wrong but they so best case scenario you picked up five seats may be 67 but they're not gonna take that house.

When you were not given up on the goal of but -- -- -- -- -- you know we've got thirty hours to go we'll know the answer this question we've got a lot of great candidates.

All all over the country including in California.

So we're going to be watching this right to the end but.

Whether it's for the white house of the senate seats in the house seats.

The main thing is everybody who wants to participate in this great democracy of ours should get out to vote.

-- do you worry though that.

The polls are very tied the president's so might win it hard to say but.

Did you look at -- our hearts ever think you'd be in a predicament where.

The president would be fighting to the last minute for every last vote that it did this thing again -- -- -- are completely wrong.

Is tight tight tight tight tight.

Oh I think it's very tight I think it's -- I think the president clearly has an edge especially in the battleground.

States look at is you know O'Neal lie you've been reporting on this for a long time were in a very tough economy so the question for the American people.

Is what has the president done and I think all fair minded people recognize that we -- in a world of hurt -- -- he was sworn in.

-- the economy was collapsing.

We've come a long way but the president would be the first to say we got a long way to go.

So the question is who do you trust.

To continue to move the economy forward you trust.

The president to build on the progress we made are you wanna go back to.

Policies that we know.

Well you know what I success thanks very in the earlier here on whether people do see that progress but -- -- worries this that he wouldn't it participation and the number of early votes absentee -- states like Ohio.

Karl Rove and others have comment on the fact.

That well it's impressive it is down substantially from four years ago.

Republican participation up substantially in early voting from four years ago that's just in that state.

Do know what's going on in Florida and Illinois and Michigan where we're seeing much more enthusiasm.

On the Republican side than we did.

And that might not be enough to symptoms we got a victory for them but it's got to be raising some sweat and and in Pennsylvania Avenue doesn't.

Well they're number of polls -- -- have come out the last stop 48 hours that shows the so called enthusiasm gap -- has essentially.

I disappear that Democrats are very motivated.

To get out to vote your -- that in the early -- statistics.

It's true Republicans are seen a big early vote but Democrats are seeing an even bigger.

Early voting states like Ohio.

And the -- I guess -- -- saying -- is it's down substantially that 240000.

Fewer.

Early voters on the democratic side than four years ago.

Well -- again the issue is route -- the relative size advantage that the Democrats have on the early vote over the Republicans but look.

All all these issues that we're -- are right now -- you're -- all we don't know the -- it you're thirty input reality shows now and then.

I've thought you've been very kind -- does this give up the other side of the object in the senate.

Republicans hope to take considering -- -- chances are better than you guys winning back -- to need four seats to do it.

Anyone's guess what we'll get it most polls say it don't come close but not close enough.

But if they do.

-- -- a good position if it's Romney has elected to.

Dismantle.

The health care law do you worry about that.

We're sure I worry about that I mean if Republicans were run the table they were gonna try and jam.

That through the congress in terms of a certain.

Procedure then then that would be something about -- next edition every returning to -- -- you know I definitely AM either the rehab of the reality is that.

That's not gonna happen is you know I mean the likelihood of the Republicans running the table is very small.

All the polls suggest the end the president has an edge in the battleground states and that the Democrats will retake the senate.

As I said we're gonna keep fighting in the house to the last vote.

But then as you were talking with Eric Cantor the question of course is what comes next -- -- dealing with the fiscal cliff in the president's been very clear that.

He thinks we should take a balanced approach to reducing the deficit we should ask for shared responsibility.

That we should ask.

The very highest in commerce to contribute a little bit more to reduce -- -- that are already -- through -- -- I don't look.

I think when you have a situation.

Where you have the deficits that we have.

And we know from the Bill Clinton period that you can ask the highest income murders to pay a little bit more.

Both reduce the deficit and have a strong economy that that's the way we should head asking for a little more shared responsibility and that's what the president has asked for.

Congressman thank you very much thanks take retirement and -- thank you been doing days now without sleep the best of luck to our -- column.

One of the more powerful Democrats in the House of Representatives all right this is the scene right now.
