The former advisor to President Bill Clinton in a long time and long time analysts here made a bowl prediction right here on the network he said Mitt Romney would win last night's election in a landslide.

I Dick Morris joins us right now.

What happened -- change what about your model compared to the reality.

Well I'm buried in -- mud slide -- Let me just say that I feel very badly for Barack Obama because.

Now he really inherited a mess.

Right -- -- benefits -- -- he's got -- more years with basically the same -- he's got a Republican House and he's got a more democratic senate I think that.

I think that the reason that -- prediction that I made was wrong.

Is that I was criticizing the polling because I said that it reflected the same turnout model.

As that was in 2008.

And I said that I thought that was a one off affair.

That it would not continue and that that was not going to be the permanent turnout model in the United States and I was wrong.

We are now in any turnout model that is totally different than we've ever had.

Black -- 13% of the vote not eleven.

Latino it's -- ten not eight.

And people under thirty are nineteen not seventeen.

The previous numbers with the -- model and I thought things would return to that they didn't they -- he'll wait -- Despite a lack of enthusiasm for Obama.

So what this is saying is this is the new Americans this -- in your -- America.

And that the percentage of women single women.

Minorities.

And voters under thirty.

Is so large at this point -- -- that unless the Republican Party fundamentally changes.

Its appeal to those voters.

It can never win an election or -- O'Reilly never get a -- female vote if they allowed to be about abortion and find themselves right on that issue.

-- -- and that was originating but clearly it was.

And immigration and all of that stuff and the point is that by the time you take.

-- African Americans Latinos under thirty voters and single white women.

And -- together.

Obama is leading the election before you count the first vote with 40% of the vote to like thirteen.

You have to win two thirds of the remaining vote in order to win.

And Romney almost did that you can't.

And if this candidate in this economy against this opponent.

Couldn't win an election -- this electorate nobody ever catch.

Right and what the Republican Party needs to do.

It's to stop trying to run in the face of those demographics.

But start appealing to them all right start revising some of its priorities of its positions.

In order to reach that vote because that vote.

Is here to stay.

All right you know did you see in -- popular vote is still 5453.

Million -- trip almost 54 million voted for Mitt Romney.

That's with Florida still in the -- so no one that.

And -- bombing is roughly 54 million so there's a lot of people who.

Aren't on board the ship but elect or -- it was very dominant 303 to 206 as we wait for Florida Dick stick around.
