Thanks very much just one -- after the election it -- something strange.
Is happening in Washington.
Really.
Bi partisan should.
I'm looking forward to reaching out and working with leaders of both parties.
To meet the challenge as we can only solve together.
There's a mandate yesterday's results it's a mandate.
For us to find a way to work together on the solutions.
To the challenges that we all face as a nation.
So is there hope that the next four years will be an era of compromise.
Let's ask Peter Johnson junior -- -- created cynical this morning of people hope springs eternal now I think I think Americans are so tired of seeing these same people say the same -- -- Well there's an opportunity to elect -- reelect her put him -- -- put him out of office and decisions have been made at this at this time you know the president said that he was I guess.
-- -- get -- right that he was gonna walk Mitch McConnell dog.
Or watched John Boehner is car in terms -- going to Capitol Hill during the election in terms of getting it done.
The president the legislative leaders and the American people the voters are trying to figure this out.
How do we compromise.
Can compromise be tempered by conscience.
Should first principles be given up for second chances.
Where do we go.
Did it do we say OK tax the rich.
But.
Don't put in political Supreme Court justices do we say okay yeah we're gonna do global warming.
But at the same time.
We're not going to do the deficit the way the president wants to have -- done.
To people walk away from what they believe.
In the hope of bringing this country together I think in the end not I think what people have to walk away from his pride and ego.
And I'm referring to those same political leaders that you referred to at the beginning of the statement.
If they walk away from their pride they -- with -- ego and they say.
I'm gonna think about Gretchen Carlson how to think about people in Indiana -- -- about people in Minnesota unearthing the people in new York and not about myself.
In terms -- getting this thing together.
Then will be affected if not it's going into the damper.
Big time.
And big time fast.
But the president doesn't always lose in a compromise -- -- isn't that sort of sure that is apparent definition have but I can't begin a deadlock he can't have gridlock.
The way to get it done I think and we haven't seen it is if the president and I think this is a great great idea.
Brings the people to the White House to sit down with them.
Bring twenty Americans who he knows he disagrees with who they know disagree with him.
The people of that been identified on television and exit polls and in these movies people who walked away from the president people who don't agree with the present -- You can't ignore in demonize.
Half of America I don't believe and I hope with my heart that the president will not do that the president needs.
To bring us together just a couple things just today we we we had some reactions to my comments about second chances and second terms.
-- -- -- it's an opportunity to lead sorry don't want to go where he is going please let me out of the backseat and then.
Cat -- 53 said thank you for a better way to look at the reelection and sand getting up this morning seemed.
Pretty bleak eight hit 7-Eleven.
From your lips to God's ears prayed that the teachers better god let this country and you -- god bless you too.
Lots of different reaction people are trying to get this thing together in the head.
Well for the debt they got.
The Bowles Simpson plan sitting right there so let's see if that that was by many accounts -- come -- and everybody walked away from that everybody including the president let's see.
-- OK Peter good to see a smile and if it's definitely the content and.
