Horrible stuck between a rock and -- -- lawmakers flat out of room and almost -- time when it comes -- -- ticking.
Tax and spending bomb both sides say that the work together the so far there really not -- my budget so what exactly are Republicans gonna do.
Colorado Republican -- Gardner.
What is most likely if it -- speakers indicated his willingness to consider revenues IE.
It's tax hikes I would I guess in the form of -- closing loopholes credits that sort of thing.
I don't hear the same -- got a Democrat.
Running to rein in entitlements they got this and I don't want to say that unfairly.
But what what what are you hearing and what kind of a deal do you think will ultimately be cobble together.
Look there's two ways to get revenue for the federal government you can increase taxes you can cut spending.
The third ways to grow the economy and I think that third way is where we're talking about growing the economy -- tax reform results and a lower a fairer flatter system for.
America what -- stronger economy resulting in more revenue I think that's a good direction to head into.
But we do need to work on entitlement reform because you can you can increase taxes till you're blue in the face but the fact is I budget destroy.
I don't mean to be rely on I understand that I know where your coming from that I'm looking at this 53 days and so ahead of that you would be open to what would speaker Boehner was open to that is.
Closing loopholes that sort of thing.
And if if that's part of the deal to extend these.
Our rates as they stand now or the spending cuts until both sides can cobble together the very thing you talked about you would be open to that part of it.
Why we can't increase taxes on the American people there's loopholes that can be close that's one thing but you can't increase taxes on American business or families.
The next -- and three days are critical.
I think that it's -- -- so you're open to.
Closing loopholes -- you don't want to increase attacks -- -- that I understand which would deal threatened to wolf for the Democrats all right.
You want to address revenues -- -- post credits will be open to do that.
-- -- to three days I think that's something we have to do as long as we make sure.
That we don't increase tackles on the American -- I'm just I'm sorry busy trying to save the world is about politics now the Democrats.
Come back and say.
What to you in order to get to Yale on a deal with temporary deal to address these -- -- -- more serious issues what are you wanna hear out of that.
You -- Madonna -- sold them.
The credits.
Allowance is unwilling to jumped on you my democratic -- do what.
If you've got to look at the you've got to look at entitlement reform I mean.
The two thirds the budget that's on auto pilot the fact is Medicare Medicaid spending it's the health care spending we know is driving our debt.
-- that's got to be on the table and not just what it.
They always saying I don't know all right well look at entitlement reform debate -- no skin like you do establish these credits and allowances right now.
What he specifically want to hear out of them in the next two to three days for you guys to shake hands.
And then do the hard stuff next year.
Well they've got to lay out -- clear paths saying we will deal with entitlements we're gonna put it on the table this is how we're going to put it on the table.
And and have some kind of a timeframe commitment -- getting that done a timeframe of negotiations a timeframe to come out the plan this can't just be that wink wink nudge nudge kind of.
So they can't they say oh what congress and -- for reform.
Because you little said well I'm not only for reform.
I've already put something on the table here closing credits loopholes and maybe narcotic so I want to hear more -- -- -- than just promising reform right.
That's right.
Of this is that anybody I don't get you guys are that I'm sorry can save the world takes -- so if they don't do that if they don't do that we're gonna -- blew it right.
Well I don't think that will do that and that that's the that the rest look they wanna destitute to come to the table we've come to the table.
And I think the American people now expect them become the -- well.
All right thank you congress and I did not not need to be -- You know when you're saving civilization you don't have time for niceties just the same thing reptile Colorado and he all right we're gonna watch -- --
