And tonight there are breaking developments about and rainy attempt to shoot down a US drone it all happened in international airspace.
On -- the first but thanks the most secretive white house on the all time.
You are not told about it until after the election would have a full investigation.
Into this matter coming up later this -- but first things first is America still a center right nation.
Had to be silly to say that a nation elect Barack Obama.
And especially one that reelection.
Is a nation that remains in important respects sent -- right now the question is what do you do about that.
Now I guess one option is to spare for some.
People -- lost the country's lost its all hopeless.
And we may as well just pick up -- marbles and we might as well go home that's one option and I think we as conservatives.
We ought to reject that option now -- second option is anger we -- yelled the American people for not being as conservative as we wish.
And that we were right and that they ought to be more conservative about might be emotionally cathartic might make you feel good he may feel morally superior to the masses.
And -- it'll make conservatism.
A minority movement.
For a long long time I think we as conservatives we should reject that option as well.
Now there's a third option and we can jettison our principles and we could become liberal -- so we embraced big government higher taxes abortion on demand.
Now that that would be a disaster politically.
And also be intellectually and would be morally a surrender that's a third option and conservatives I believe should reject that.
-- there is a fourth option and that option is that understanding.
The change that is now under way in this country.
You gotta take this into account.
And I think we as conservatives.
We -- to refine our arguments in a way that is persuasive to the country telling them that our position convincing him it's a better way.
And that means we need to have solutions to the big problems of this age not to generations ago.
Now states are passing laws allowing same sex marriage states are now legalizing marijuana.
A majority of Americans re elected Barack Obama so we need to understand this things are changing.
And we need to figure out why it's happening.
And we need to think through what we need to do about it we gotta be Smart about the battles we pick and how we fight them and how we can win over the American people once again.
Now the other thing we need to do is to keep perspective.
Now yesterday I mentioned Margaret Thatcher in Great Britain.
-- in the 1970s people thought the Great Britain was lost but it was in the grip of labor union said there was no reason for them to fight anymore.
Now Margaret Thatcher said nonsense to all of that she made a forceful and powerful moral case.
Four why conservatism.
Was the path to new hope new opportunity new prosperity.
And greater human happiness and not only did she win she changed the trajectory of British society.
-- the same thing -- what Ronald Reagan in 1980.
You remember the 1970s.
Was an awful decade socially liberal.
We Ed Nixon he was pushing wage and price controls -- Watergate crime was out of control that we have the election of Jimmy Carter and you treat.
We're trait of American power abroad.
Now liberals will dominate in the house and senate till 1994.
Conservatism seemed like a lost moment.
Reagan he didn't give up you didn't turn on America rather he made the case in broad hopeful appealing terms.
He persuaded people he didn't scold them he came up with an agenda -- met the needs of his time and then slowly he won people over and in the process.
He changed the history of America and the history of the world.
-- that's the model we need now in 2012 don't deny reality but don't give up hope.
And while we chart a new course we need to make a place in history for this recent election and define it in -- terms in real terms.
So now we're just 48 hours removed from the 2012 presidential election.
There's no doubt in my mind that it will be remembered as the dirty -- -- sleazy -- and the most undignified election in American history.
You know the old adage it doesn't matter if you win or lose it's how you play the game well that was clearly not how Obama approach this contest.
-- he appears -- of adopted that it doesn't matter how you win as his model because both he and his surrogates.
They -- of the gutter early and often throughout this process in short.
This was Chicago politics now on a national stage.
And while governor Mitt Romney for the most part reserved his criticism of the president to matters of policy the attacks from the left for personal they were relentless.
Now let's take a look at the hate filled rhetoric that fueled the Obama reelection machine.
I do -- think Mitt Romney realizes where -- -- -- anyway.
And I and furthermore do -- think Mitt Romney is concerned.
I don't know the facts of when -- subject's -- got sick.
Or when she died but as I said before I do know the facts of what Mitt Romney did with G -- -- I think -- -- -- Republican Party that Mitt Romney.
And can be interpreted a bit.
On the issues and -- a lot of.
The guys as corporations are people and -- the family dog to -- -- of this car.
Steve Begin to that brand out there.
Who do not want to see anybody other -- up up up a white person that kind of leadership position.
The words out that he hasn't paid any taxes for ten years.
But improve that he has paid taxes because he has this -- that he core.
Good for you all back -- -- Now granted this was an important race and this is a full contact sport.
For example solid football and what the president did to -- Mitt Romney and his family.
Was the equivalent of up a fifteen yard face mask a chop block a blow to the quarterback's head.
And a late hit it was all rolled into one.
Only didn't care of his penalized he just wanted to secure another four years of endless -- concerts Jay-Z beyoncé George Clooney.
Whatever else he could do while by the way the economy was tanking terrorists murdering Americans -- -- -- joining me now here in studio.
Radio talk show host radio TV TV host outspoken -- content production.
Sean -- how aria how are you you are upset.
I felt as if something to crawled inside my body and died.
And I Tuesday night I was lower than whale dung in the Marion trench man I talk with you I was done but today.
And last not a said you know what were not wrong.
We didn't do it.
The messenger wasn't the best the message wasn't the best tonight I think we're -- millions of moderates in Ohio.
Michigan Virginia and -- sat this one out we trying to analyze why.
Because he -- did anyone really believe in his heart that Mitt Romney.
Was a Reagan conservative you know -- I -- an article here Jeffrey lord American spectator.
When conservatism is a -- a second language I gotta be honest I've come to really respect like Mitt Romney a lot loved his -- wife is incredible kids are great.
I think he grew a lot as a candidate he was a decent man they -- slandered smeared.
Just you know what they they won but it's like you cheat I mean it's -- it's.
Below occasionally Sean Hannity -- you live in New York I lived and I limits is that since February.
We went through nine months a vicious personal attacks a Mitt Romney by Obama and guess what Romney wasn't even on the battlefield.
He was in these debates that made -- -- -- and what we went through thousands and thousands of commercials.
He's killing your grandmother's gonna poison the air he doesn't want to tell your kids grow up and be educated we want to look for nine motto is -- so I think the president -- -- a low bar.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- To get in earlier to smear -- they should have smeared Obama more what would Reagan do.
He that's my point that's -- don't do what they do when the other thing and that was Sean Hannity I talk to Democrats last two days.
Won -- -- what took place on January 2209.
Guess what the campaign.
Kept open for four years in Ohio a 139.
Campaign offices signing up through Twitter FaceBook magazine subscriptions what shows do you watch they had thousands 200000 new voters who they registering got to the polls let's see answered now -- to that now Republicans look sometimes you can actually learn from liberal.
They're good at their ground game I'll give them credit I give them all the credit for that they they deserve credit.
For the smear campaign ought to be ashamed of themselves and that's -- hollow victory -- deserves what it's like a kid that cheats and wins.
You know you know deep down inside you you were sleazy and slimy.
-- they counter that had a -- paramedic Sean Hannity Antonio for.
Kerry got six million more votes than Al Gore and if somebody would -- do you -- night before the election guess what Kerry is gonna get six what would you have said over over it wasn't the goes -- went -- small town America especially in Ohio and registered more voters.
Aren't you know Ohio better than anybody this became a different turnout model you'll write about Hamilton and Butler and Warren counties and and all the surrounding Republican -- they came out what 785 -- -- 71 to 78%.
To maybe aren't so they came out in droves.
But still wasn't enough now because in northern Ohio came out in numbers that were unprecedented.
Look Obama lost ten million votes nationally but I'm shocked three million fewer Republicans voted.
Four for Mitt Romney than John McCain is because of that moderate label that he was tagged with and it was because white women.
In our area watch those commercials he Cuyahoga County they registered a 140000.
More shall we say traditional Democrat voters that there were precincts and in Cuyahoga County Cleveland -- -- a 114.
For Obama there were precincts in Cincinnati that were 828.
For Obama so it's like two different states what they registered at the same number of African Americans and Ohio voted.
And 2012 the vote in twenty await.
Romney what -- won the state.
What is so close Virginia Ohio Florida there's got to be some adjustments.
But I don't think I think you don't compromise your principles.
And they've got to do a better job messaging their ground games got to get over your -- got a got a right candidate and it's got to be united party.
He can't have.
I do one thing but -- abortion no absolutely.
Right to -- it is Hispanic issues it is getting a bit about that but we can't have somebody like hot they can say something as dumb as what -- -- like I'm what are you doing this tonight.
