There are members of both political parties today praised his service to the nation early.

And I ask him about his initial reaction to this.

And he really said and I have a tremendous regard for General Petraeus he was not only outstanding military leader.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- When he was -- -- -- -- down that there command post had dinner with them better -- Iraq as a two star general.

And I've always had the highest admiration of fact back in 2009.

I actually put out a statement urging him to run for president.

It's one in twelve -- really the say this is obviously a tragedy for General Petraeus but it's also a tremendous loss for the country.

Not have a man of his capability.

And dedication they -- working and our government.

Well I know perhaps the next time you would have seen him potentially would have been next week as we -- hearings are opening up on Capitol Hill.

To get to the bottom of exactly what happened -- -- our consulate was attacked September 11 of this year in Libya he was one of the people who would have -- in the seat.

For you to ask questions how -- his departure from the CIA.

Affect the investigation.

As far as I'm concerned general betray if you still testify.

He'd be questions UBS were not about what he's doing -- -- directed now would have been doing now.

What happened in the lead up to big -- what happened Durham and Ghazi and what happened -- the days afterwards when the story come out about this.

Being a spontaneous incident caused by a -- video as opposed to a terrorist attacks so.

No I think -- three General Petraeus is still.

Maybe the most essential witness of all so.

He I I believe we should testify.

And if he needs a few days -- one thing.

Do you know composed himself but I general I I definitely believe that General Petraeus is it absolutely essential witness.

And congressman Fox News has learned that at this point he is not on that witness list.

About it is after the senate and the house because again you Mike Rogers is -- sham and I'll certainly abide by his -- Well one way the other we should have General Petraeus testify about this week.

Then soon -- because I don't -- how.

We can put the whole picture together without General Petraeus is testimony -- as CIA director he was at the thought of what was happening.

And in many ways and -- -- very center of that so to me I don't see how we can have.

And knowledge of what happens unless if David Petraeus is a -- witness before the committee.

And without him are you saying that the investigation would be -- All I'm saying without him the investigation be complete because he is he is the -- drove us.

As to.

Because there was CIA personnel involved.

Because.

How the you know that was analyze what caused him to.

Come before congress and say that it was not a terrorist incident had not that was not a terrorist attack what course and to say that it was scores entirely by the you know -- -- video.

And also what he did as far as security before during and after so -- I to me.

General Petraeus and a great regard for him but he's at the center of all of the main question dropping -- -- pro and con.

All right before I let -- go completely different subject but something that many Americans across the country and those of us on the East Coast just simply -- -- -- -- Eleven days after the super -- sandy hit you're out on Long Island New York right now an area that has just been punched in the gut by the storm.

But now double -- because now they're fuel shortages all sorts of things that people had anticipated to happen your thoughts.

My district has been devastated the South Shore please -- -- some people -- Long Beach Linda -- south -- and they've been decimated.

-- thousands of people out of their homes over a 100000 lost power up the Long Island power authority -- failed miserably.

And despite the impression the president gave last week the somehow this was taken care of believe me we are right now living in Third World conditions on the South Shore of Long Island much more has to be done.

Especially the call what the coverage -- absolute tragedy the poor people a problem down there almost every day with these people in their property it says something again did.

You never thought you'd see in the United States -- America in the 21 century.
