Almost two weeks later are really two weeks later -- tonight is when the storm hit now -- 150000.

People still do not have power.

When that storm hit the northeast look at these folks just thrown out the interiors of their houses Staten Island clearly one of me hardest hit areas in this story.

Many people there are very angry of course they're very frustrated they say that they can even get back into their homes to start work on them.

And the complaints about the government's response to all of this are clearly on the rise one person describing his experience on our show last week.

My father and people on my block at least five police -- correctional on this block them most of them are retired five and -- active duty five it.

We don't know the president we can't find out that -- people think.

We have no idea what -- -- we have no idea with a free food is we have no idea what anybody is we can't contact any building department and insurance companies not getting any help.

It's just it's unfair -- that caught our attention and I think when last week so we asked Christian uses to come back.

Four days later and join us in our studio where it's warm and dry Chris welcome.

Thanks so much for coming in today we appreciate that thank you for having me.

It's -- Intel about the FEMA response say it and that's when I first question has it changed at all in the last four -- what are you gotten from them what haven't gotten.

Well the last time I spoke to you guys -- told if you missed out by my house two days ago and we -- an -- from them since.

I've gotten -- my restricted use let -- It's just put -- my dog.

There was actual no.

Investigation in my house whatsoever and -- valuation nobody came in to look at my house to see if my foundation was okay.

To see the damage in my house they just came.

Walked up to my house stuck a stick around the dog -- what -- say press.

To stick it clearly says restricted use.

It's a yellow isn't there it is enough time in the -- to fix my house but they don't want to live -- it.

Without explanation they came -- stuck this on my.

What does that mean restricting use what what -- you'll actually do when he not allowed to jail they just wanted to fix my house right now as of right now.

This temporary living funds coming in and places from people to go but not right now I have this on my house right now.

There -- 6000 homes in my neighborhood.

-- had this on their doors and there are no winners and I'll tell you can't live there but they do way to get it fixed as soon as possible and they're not offering you any help is that correct exactly.

No questions no -- no nothing no explanations -- they didn't even have the decency to knock on my door and my neighbor was standing outside while they were doing this.

He requested for them to come in his house and -- and give him and got -- a full evaluation of his house and they said no we're just gonna give you we LO -- You know why people have -- complaining about the fact that there wasn't that -- prepositions.

For this storm that that they weren't ready you know with trucks and supplies and food water and all of those things to come in -- -- I wanted to experience nobody was ready I'm going to be honest -- you are I was on prepared I didn't believe the water was gonna come -- my house.

I -- seventeen feet above sea level right in front of my house we were expecting eight to ten feet of surge.

I didn't think the water was gonna come.

I was a little prepared my call was packed it change so fast.

My cause just washed away when I was nowhere to run nowhere to go out your car was packed and ready to go but it washed away.

It didn't it didn't physically wash away but it was consumed by all the water and -- What about the Red Cross what have they done for you.

The Red Cross comes by.

I've heard some stories of people getting batteries.

That don't work flashlights that don't work.

What do my name -- received a whole box of granola bars that I was molded.

This is what they give you -- called a packed meals.

I.

I've done cooking and worked in pizzeria is in restaurants for -- sometime in my life and I had a problem cook in this -- it -- hasn't talked to our solution of water that you -- to a charcoal and heats up the food.

And it gets so hot I'd -- myself.

Now what about the elderly people that that can hold their -- still.

Are they supposed to in the -- cook these meals and and burned themselves what may be and they go to shelters.

Yes -- shelters they have but the shelters I mean.

-- my house itself I can still physically shower I can live in my house I have a six level how's my basement wet.

But for some reason I can't live in my house.

I mean.

I don't want to occupy a better in the shelter for somebody that lost their house I don't think it's fair to be honest that you there's enough room in some of these houses that they will they want people to leave for everybody to live -- But it's been the concern for the city is to just get out your house whip and and no explanation didn't even knock on the go.

-- ramifications if you don't we are you sleeping in your house right now.

As of right now yes if you're not supposed to be buttons -- technically.

-- if you go on NYC dot gov and you go into buildings that is not of the C -- vols have been taken away from anybody temporarily.

It's called due process obviously we know due process is -- gives them time to set people work and after they sent -- so.

-- We wish you well and my -- we -- -- -- more help and maybe the fact that you common.

Talked to us gets the story out there a little bit why that's our hope at least a lot of people at least know what's going on -- -- -- had it's not about just -- me myself it's about my whole neighborhood I don't wanna live and enable it by myself.

I just want some answers I want some leaderships and some direction.

Without leadership and direction.

People are going to do very crazy things to survive.

If you read it I mean that that's a big fear out there and a and a lot of people -- just stand at their houses -- they're so afraid that.

They're gonna lose what little they have -- they leave the house that Chris we got to leave it there we'll check back can you please keep in touch with us thank you -- zone higher don't OK okay we wish you out there thank you -- about it.
