Welcome back to foxnews.com live -- Casey Stegall coming to you from -- Dallas -- newsroom we want to bring in Cal Thomas now he's joining us via Skype.

From a really horrible location I understand.

Yes and Miami Beach Casey and this gives me an opportunity did -- say to you face to face what I've been saying behind your back for sometimes.

And that is that you do a terrific job.

-- -- -- -- -- Oh that's very kind of you I sure appreciate it thank you for saying that in things -- Taking time out from the ocean to talk to us a little bit about this because that I was reading over some of the talking points that our producers send.

You say an all out media attack on the GOP is happening in the wake of this election and is invaluable can you tell me why yeah.

They're -- two aspects to that Casey I guess there is an all out attack actually it's more like rejoicing.

From the pages of the New York Times which has never been a friend to conservatism.

-- -- MSNBC.

Which has some people refer to risk MS DNC.

For it's a constant cheerleading for all things lefty.

And and democratic.

I think that you know there rejoicing over this this -- believe the liberal liberal media believe that this is the final nail in the conservative call and that they have been looking to -- I hammered for years.

However the other part of your question I think it's a very teachable moment I I think frankly that conservatives are going to have to.

Restructure themselves including the conservative media.

This probably.

There's not going to go on as it has in the past but a 72%.

White vote.

-- clearly the influence of an awful lot of cable TV and talk radio.

It just didn't have the effect of turning out to enough people to elect Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan so I think does not gonna require a lot of introspection.

You know it's fascinating because you just talked about the white vote in and this is right from this this Atlanta black star publication and it says I'm quoting here the reason can be explained with one word demographics.

Are simply not enough white men left in America to win -- -- -- prize.

For the presidential candidate.

Right and I I wish it wouldn't be put on this -- level because.

The kinds of things are talking about jobs and not dependency on government ought not to be white black or Hispanic these are American issues.

I'm -- writing -- I think -- I think the way for the conservative media for blocks and for talk radio and others which is to start focusing on whether the Obama policies are working.

Clearly as we've seen just since the election thousands of people are being laid off because of obamacare where's the big media to go and interview them how many of them voted for Obama do they wish they had a different vote now they have to vote another way.

So we'll see how the three broadcast networks -- the major newspapers.

Follow up on the effects of Obama's policies I'm not betting audit and I think that's a great opportunity for fox and talk radio and for -- conservative media to do to -- -- -- -- Yeah and tell you talked about how really Republicans have to kind of get there.

Their plans together here in and sort of I don't know I don't -- -- -- restructure but really have to kind of changed the way.

You know they're they're doing business because you know politicos Jonathan Martin insisting that the Republican Party on the verge of a looming -- looming crisis.

How can Republicans get together reorganize so that they can get all of these issues accomplished affecting all Americans black white Hispanic.

All right -- Well that's the central question isn't it Jack Casey and I think -- the answer to that is.

Is to stop treating other human being says the enemy we got to start stop referring to.

Hispanics as illegal aliens they -- that I mean all groups all ethnic groups have come here to be part of the American dream.

Now I think there's going to have to BS and Sean Hannity just set on Friday on and on Fox News channels there is going to have to be some kind of comprehensive immigration reform groups.

And I think that did that's not that are waving the white flag of surrender as some of the more extreme people say that's just the fact Hispanics are the largest minority now in the fastest growing in the United States.

You can't keep talking about bringing buses and planes in and deporting them back you just can't do that expect to win their votes so there's a new reality out there and I think conservative media can help and promoting that.

You know cal is interesting because I just moved to Texas as you know from working out of our Los Angeles bureau and I was down along the Arizona.

Mexico border a lot covering SB 1070 of course that controversial.

Immigration reform bill that you know a lot of other states have enacted similar types of legislation because.

This State's field that the federal government just is not making immigration a priority and so I know Arizona governor -- brewer said we're gonna just have to take matters into our own hands and as you know.

It went all the way up to the US Supreme Court a lot of people feel that the current administration.

Has down right out just ignored the the immigration issue altogether.

Well I don't think there's any question about that and I think also something else not discussed much by the media is that there's the other political motivation behind us.

Clearly the left has imported as -- call it imported votes.

They couldn't win with the Americans already here so they brought people -- -- over the border I mean that's just so obvious that's not.

Racist is not bigoted is just obvious and they basically told him look.

If you don't vote for -- -- your grandmother and your sister in your cousins are gonna be able to stay here either.

So they've had a campaign of fear which has been hyped by a lot of the the liberal media -- -- focused on.

Fairness and equality but what about our waters if if congress doesn't like -- federal immigration law the way they are then congress can change them.

But today -- what's the point of having laws if you're not going to enforce them.

And that's the point to Jan Brewer and some of these other border states it's a major issue for them I think there's there's there's the increasing their burden.

On the education system is increasing burden on the hospitals this situation.

You know having come from Los Angeles that a lot of hospitals -- shut down because -- been overburdened by the younger population but a lot of the media don't want to.

Focus on that.

Well we're gonna focus on a lot of not a very important issues I know that I work Saturdays and Sundays so I would be sitting in Los Angeles and I would always watch Fox News -- an excellent program.

But I always Fox News contributor it's wonderful to talk to person my friend thank -- excuses for -- time I see it you can these guys are writing you.
