The aftermath of super storm sandy sparking serious health concerns after millions of people's homes and businesses suffered some sort of damage.

And that's especially hard for folks already dealing with disabilities who had a really tough time making it through the storm and all that flooding.

And member of -- Fox News medical eighteen and doctor I understand you were actually out surveying the scene this weekend -- what are your greatest worries at this point.

Well look for a lot of folks out in Long Island and Staten Island in New Jersey.

To me it seems like the storm -- -- yesterday because they have been forgotten.

Still a lot of state officials health officials FEMA.

Have not gone out there to kind of look after these folks.

What we found is all the health concerns that -- you can imagine after almost two weeks of this aftermath.

All of you -- moles in him and thousands of homes.

You have back up sewers that have come into the community into people's homes into the street.

You know we visited an area down in -- -- Green Bay.

-- -- great Bay Area and basically.

There was a toxic waste land because old oil tanks in their homes have gone into the street.

Into the soil you know we found people that weren't affected not only because -- breathing difficulties but also they have -- -- everywhere people are cleaning this debris.

In many communities it was not even the city or the state officials likely and doing the clean -- they're they're basically volunteers from Tennessee Baptist chairs that have come down and gob bless them all for helping out this -- all of these communities but.

Right now these folks are hurting and that the clock is ticking and we have been not only an environmental disaster.

We have a -- disaster brewing.

-- -- at how -- the logistics of things work like even if you have a prescription you need to get a prescription filled in your pharmacy is gone or it's under water I mean.

Even things like that the people need down basic items to survive on a daily basis how does that work.

Well that that's one thing that concerns have you talked a lot of folks out in these areas they have not been able to go to see their doctor because they they can get there.

Or be there -- doctors offices have shut down they have moved on to other places.

Many pharmacies are not open so a lot of folks basically did not renew their their prescription medicines and this is something that we talked about how danger it is.

It is not to renew your prescription especially be taking things like high blood pressure medicines.

Or hey you know cardiac -- so again the axis to pharmacies the -- to your doctor is what is it gone right now that it did not going anywhere.

You know we -- and in and some of the video disabled people people would that with physical challenges.

You know this gentleman that you show before he lost his home he lost his all you know his.

Mortar wheelchair he's he's desperately looking for one insurance companies I'm not calling him back so.

This is a major concern then and people have to step up I mean how long are these people going away -- And this was you know we did this report just yesterday we went out there Sunday again.

Looking at the community and and -- and I don't know what to tell -- -- more because.

It in -- if this continues for a longer period of time.

-- gonna have a lot of people's sake a lot of people that a lot of people and -- gonna have the axes and things are gonna get worse the winter is here.

So you know we're not and then in a warm environment.

Everything is wet everything -- -- So I I I I just I I don't I can't you know and I -- I can see this happening in America.

But.

You know -- we go again in on this is Katrina.

To -- twelfth -- a lot of people here in in the New York area.
