According to Staten Island two weeks in city did and finally the power back up for -- -- but many of the homes.

Well they're completely destroyed it's not just gone to Molly Line.

In Staten Island -- our families there are trying to co pay Molly.

Pena out it wasn't very difficult situation for the families -- cedar avenue this -- -- could still see the buildings are standing but inside.

If they haven't already been -- a lot of the homeowners have spent the day.

Up pulling all of their belongings pulling the walls down.

We can we've seen volunteers you throughout the day pulling out giant piles of debris the sanitation crews have gone through a pulling up some -- degree -- debris.

We can actually -- -- if you can swing around just behind us at some of the volunteers that were just here a few moments ago helping.

In the households.

Heading off the truck they have plenty of work to do -- -- and working all day at this 171000.

People have signed up for FEMA assistance in this area alone.

And they're still waiting in words just how much money they're going to get how much money their insurance companies are actually going to be able to give them.

We've also seen all sorts of different charity organizations different food trucks moving through an a lot of regular people -- been down here as well the folks in these homes.

If they're hurting right now but they say they're very grateful for all of the assistance that they've been receiving.

Tough workout here -- -- a lot.

More work to come back to you.

Thank you -- very very much Molly Line now to Long Island where despite protests this weekend 74000.

Are still.

Without -- two weeks after -- utility officials say most will be back up and running by tomorrow but try telling that to.

Democratic in New York State assemblyman.

Still goals that are some would end.

I guess you still without -- and still looking for answers out of the extent.

I'd say fourteen I mean belied the response has been slow in the coordination with utility companies and the city of new York and -- -- -- government entities has been has been for.

Now Governor Cuomo ahead -- Cuomo has been particularly tough on on utility companies in the last few days saying that -- -- that is no excuse for this.

But why is it happening I mean is it just a bit coordination.

What what what do you know.

Why I first give the the governor all the credit in the world I think he's right to hold the utility companies accountable and I think he's actually right calling for an investigation.

What I would say is that the coordination between utility companies and the and the city of New York has been absolutely nonexistent.

Nonexistent.

And that you know.

They're not talking to each other there's been no coordination and unfortunately the people on the streets -- suffer.

Sort wearing day fourteen today -- and to think about being fourteen days without power.

Is is unconscionable.

-- there are a lot of areas as you know also without power more coming back on every day but I'm wondering.

And I'm not -- use similar -- the governor this point but could be a case.

Just throw the utilities under the bus for what has been a bad public.

Response to this.

I think it's time for accountability is gonna come I think everybody agrees that when when our families are safe when when the residents of the neighborhood are out of harm's -- The time for accountability will come and and those who we'll need to be held accountable well.

I trust in the governor that that that we're gonna get this thing right we're gonna do right when the time is right but for now.

That's thousands of people who are still -- cold at night there's thousands of people are still hungry.

You know you turn on the TV and there's a rosy picture but but to live in this neighborhood it's like time -- -- we are.

Really struggling for -- to aid in the assistance and I hope to rebuild but it's going to be a long slow process.

All right -- -- and we'll be watching very closely thank you -- Thank you.
