Alert the Labor Department just releasing brand new jobless numbers 439001.

Time unemployment claims are filed last week.

That's a lot more than expected 375.

Was expected in had been ticking down as a plate.

Here to react to governor of Wisconsin Republican Scott Walker who joins us live are you Vegas.

I have -- that.

Republican Governors Association it is pretty early morning for a midwesterner I had no no doubt.

I thought you were out -- betting on the Packers or something.

Let's get to these jobless number is safe bet though you know if if it would be you know let's get to these jobless claim numbers a lot of people are going to be raising some eyebrows pretty high today that after the election.

We go up to this whopping number of 439000.

What do you make of it.

Well real real concerns about the numbers are certainly -- a question of timing but the bigger concern I think a lot of us have been including a lot of the governors here.

Is what does it mean for the future -- got all this talk in Washington about the fiscal cliff.

That is a concern but the bigger concern is how the politicians.

In our nation's capital gonna try -- tackle that.

And a lot of -- we're talking about a big tax increase and we see jobless numbers like this when you see the economy not improving the way it has in the past coming out of recession.

We're very very concerned.

They're gonna pile on even more trouble by adding the -- attacks -- not just on the wealthy.

But -- just about every American out there which would be devastating to the to each of our State's economies into the country as a whole.

And -- you made national headlines of course over the last few years because of what you do in Wisconsin with regard to collective bargaining.

Another another loss and tell us about this lawsuit against the state.

Yet if -- right it's amazing you keep having to.

Liberal group after liberal group deciding that even though we had what are the latest debates the State's history of the legislature.

Side to build the law the law was upheld the court -- it was jail -- last year we had one of the biggest selections in the country recall election.

We won by even more votes than we did two years ago.

And just last week.

It's something that most people don't know across America in our state even though we didn't certainly like the federal election for the presidency is the reality is we -- and gain seats on the Republican side.

In the legislature -- to sixty seats in the assembly went up to eighteen seats in the state senate both have now solid majorities because people like our reforms.

And yet when liberals don't win often they run to the courts to try push things through their direction.

In the end this law will be upheld it is constitutional.

But more importantly for schools and local governments and they're depending they saw big savings that they put in the classroom.

And in the government services and the taxpayers -- it back.

First time in twelve years or property -- -- went down.

People are state what these reforms to continue to.

All right that's good news let me ask you about the fact that there are now thirty.

Republican governors you've gained a seat in North Carolina a lot of people were discussing after the election and maybe the GOP brand.

-- was suffering and had been hurt why is it that Republicans.

Are elected governor but Mitt Romney could not win the presidency.

Well I think that's a good and decent man we talked a lot about that here yesterday I mean thirty Republican governors the most we've had and -- -- -- years.

Most of them or most of the battleground states.

Have Republican governors and them leading the way turning things around balancing budgets doing it while lowering taxes singer revenues go up by improving the economy in each of our states.

I think the reason each of us why it was because we laid out a clear path the clear agenda if people gravitated towards that -- and fortunately.

Mitt Romney's campaign.

In the end -- was not able to overcome the early attacks from the Obama campaign the Obama Biden campaign.

Back in June -- and they suffered the ability to -- clearly lay that out.

Republican governors I think as a contrast have been able to offer.

A clear plan for each of our states we're gonna change America one stated it's all right we're optimistic about the future of that kind of leadership here.

All right -- governor Scott Walker thanks for getting up extra price.

I wouldn't think guess we'll see again the news of.
