So Jennifer where does this investigation into general John Allen stand at this point.

Well as you mentioned David Petraeus will be on the hill tomorrow morning at 730 to meet with the house Intel committee he is not going to address.

His affair with Paul -- well but he will be strictly speaking about.

The events in big Ghazi in terms of the investigation into general John Allen that remains in the hands of the DOT's inspector general.

That investigation is still going on the president express confidence in his top general yesterday.

And the Pentagon will not specifically characterize the 20000 pages of emails between general Allen and -- socialite Jill Kelly.

Sources familiar with the email traffic however say that they are not as innocuous as some of general -- backers have suggested.

In fact we are told that some of these exchanges.

Because until very recently nobody knew who this man was but now we know who we -- we're learning a lot more about him.

What's interesting because.

The leaks coming out about him what made him sound like he was obsessed with Jill Kelly and sending him sure it is in sending her shirtless photos of himself.

But now -- learned who he is he's Fred Humphries.

He is a veteran of the FBI in fact a hero back in 1999 it was his.

Instincts that led to the the foiling of the millennial plot to blow up the Los Angeles airport by -- ressam.

He was the one who pushed hard that ressam be.

Be arrested and and that plot was eventually unraveled because of Fred Humphries work.

I spoke to his lawyer last night who said that his client.

Feels he has been mischaracterized he sent those shirtless photos as a joke to -- Kelly a long time ago he and his wife is to have dinner with the Kelly's.

And it was a picture of him on the firing range between two dummies and and he feels that it's really been mischaracterized also he's his.

The lawyer for Fred Humphries says that he is still working he has not been informed by the FBI that he is under investigation -- And wow what is this story has touched so many lives and as you point now we're learning sort of the other side of -- story as it comes through.
