Who are you ready.

It's going.

Keeps -- and when she's not then I'm -- crazy and English she isn't Tom's -- thrown out before we get anything now you have to get a lot a lot of OK so hot idea.

You go around back you go and in my time look.

It's like a -- yeah that's his music management and find time telling someone's blocking his car read out -- Once he comes out with Tom you go and -- large -- picture weren't sure they'll know troops that are less time.

OK perfect so you go -- find -- tell her that you're with Graham and machines to see Graham on the back deck.

Casey you call them back you guys go entirely different time.

-- -- -- -- And -- -- score 11 on foxnews.com.

I'm Laura -- taking you through.

This thirty minutes of a fabulous entertainment -- and talk about movies.

And Broadway and upcoming movies coming out this weekend the right there you just saw a really fun clip of a new movie coming out called ex girlfriend's joining me here on set.

He summoned the clip he is not only the writer director also -- -- Alexander clue -- com.

To the shuttle -- to be there -- so we're into the nuts and bolts of this movie but what we just seeing that scene because -- a little like there was.

A little complicated scheme gone off.

Indeed there's just -- -- going on still looks excellent start at the beginning what what is movie about.

The movies about a guy who has to ex girlfriends one played by Jennifer carpenter -- -- fast friends and another played by Kristen Connolly that he's trying to win back.

And he discovers that they're both dating the same guy unbeknownst to them so he has to kind of thrown out out.

And so in that -- it was a pretty convoluted sounded like there was you know like -- -- going.

Yeah -- they're trying to you know reveal the truth to the ex girlfriend's -- and went back and kind of work everything out -- -- very complicated.

Love from this if you will love and around the south -- you're gonna love triangle yeah.

So you wrote the movie and that and directed -- star.

I was reading some of the notes coming into the -- here about what it stuck to get this movie made and it comes out again when.

Comes out on November 27 on iTunes and movies on demand and your cable network and then on November 28 and -- and New York.

OK so ex girlfriends tell me about what it was like suits you know start with the idea you got to get the actors the crew -- not not necessarily cheap thing.

Not an easy thing to do sounds like you had a lot of people who were in your corner.

Friends of yours -- -- helped you make this movie.

No I just graduated from the Columbia University film school so we had a little tight group of film students already make their first movie like you know the producer Jennifer Gerber was Colombia -- the director of photography Greg Kershaw was Columbia.

And -- how these friends who are actors and you know Kristen Connolly had been doing you know and the public Shakespeare in the park and all this great stuff so -- all kind of come up together and we're really ready to.

Make -- first film.

And it's not you know I've never made a film that -- -- reading about how you have to make systems you got all the people on board all these people who are ready to help you.

Fulfill your vision you obviously have a great screenplay that everybody was day in and -- now let's go ahead make this movie.

But you need a lot of things to make a movie in New York City Davidson.

You know.

All of that some of those sometimes it can happen.

So is the citizens -- when you hear a lot about guerrilla film making is this considered guerrilla filmmaking definitely describe for people what that means.

Well I mean we we we had a -- in Grand Central and we didn't exactly have a permit the shooting film never you can shoot still photos there so we had a little camera that looked like a still photo camera okay.

And we were just kind of shooting one area of the station until security kind of told us -- time to gallon and we sneak around to the other side initiative there.

You know there was a lot of like shooting in my apartment -- and you know when the landlord showed up you know hustling every out -- there and and sneaking in later this kind of a by any means necessary -- -- film.

-- and what I was looking at another clip on its online.

Which we also want to show the website I believe that we have got up the ex girlfriend's movie dot com.

In looking at the website and looking at that clip that's there he do you like -- shooting outside as well there it is.

There's the website for everybody to go to -- to find out more about the film -- it looks like you've got some some accolades as well listed.

Yeah well we premiered at the Austin film passable.

Earlier in October which is really fantastic and yeah we've had our premiere the other night at TriBeCa cinemas and then we'll open it cinema village.

You know -- on twelve -- university and a few days.

What's the best part about making a movie like this and what was the hardest part.

I think guy getting -- -- -- Jennifer carpenter who have watched on Dexter forever as it was just.

So much fun yeah she's such like comic lively actress that just playing off everything.

You know she had to offer -- it was really -- not so much fun what was the hardest part I mean was it wasn't them the permits -- what's the weather our as the weather we're shooting in the Hamptons in you know right around Thanksgiving and that was a little bit chilly you know a lot of night exterior is that.

You know could have -- easier.

It was fun it was just so much fun to you know to work with you know my friends and make a movie.

What's your advice to two filmmakers starting out or you know kind of having division -- That you had a flight you know -- this idea -- write this.

We need to get my team together what is your best advice for people watching because we have so many people do you watch your show and and want to know to do exactly what you did.

Well I think it's possible now with all the new digital cameras to make some -- you know for a very low cost that looks pretty dead and I think if you wanna make movies just got on duet and you know tell your story tell the story that is personal to you and only you can tell how hard is it to -- -- screen.

Takes awhile it definitely took me you know a few.

Few classes and film school to learn how to do it but I mean it's on the practice you moderated to sit down and.

Right and and in terms of how long it took to make this movie he's mentioned Thanksgiving -- Riyadh.

I mean I guess from the very beginning of rating and getting out of film schools two right now it's probably a few years it's.

What -- takes time -- what's your a lot of us around here at fox news headquarters were always we have a huge bank of elevators.

And -- producers and reporters are constantly buzzing by each other -- say what you elevator pitch.

You know what's really what are you working on and you got like this -- just take your short amount of time -- -- -- tell people how do you convince people that goes -- -- -- in -- short amount -- time.

Oh man.

Elevator I love her gloves on this I think Dallas does pretty -- and it is and I got a lot of fat but.

She's no I mean Jennifer carpenter from Dexter and and Kristen Connolly from cabin in the woods that's that's -- shot per share and -- are we going to see you Alexander -- next.

Well I hope.

Other than on the screen for X on the screen and I you know I have smaller films I'm just starting right now so -- how those -- and -- Installations to -- and coming up with a movie getting it written directed acting getting your team together.

And all that you do of course of course we want to tell people again about the web site ex girlfriend's movie dot com.
