Q well General Petraeus last days of the CIA were reported -- contentious.

According to the reporting of the Wall Street Journal which -- -- company owns General Petraeus went against the advice of intelligence leaders.

And had his aides released their own time line of the -- -- attacks.

In an effort to present the CIA's response in a more favorable light.

The report also indicates General Petraeus had struggled to win over his CIA employees -- was accustomed to the structure of the military.

Which is much more based on hierarchy -- the CIA.

Lot of reporting in the Wall Street Journal today it's assistant managing editor is -- John busing and as I mentioned our parent company owns the Wall Street Journal.

These are the kinds of things that nobody ever would have suspected you would hear of this man.

Yet you didn't know about this Adam and -- and Javon corpsman have this online right now you can read it.

It's really quite interesting WWW.

-- dot com -- it's interesting you know here's a guy in the military used to regimented style.

What he says goats and he kind of moves into a more informal organization like the CIA were people contradict each other right -- bad ideas to get the best idea out on the table.

He wasn't used to that.

And -- there was clashes within the CIA and between Petraeus and other agencies including his boss the national intelligence director James clapper so.

That there was a lot of this kind of building up before this scandal.

Resulted and this this contentiousness.

It kind of undercut his position within the administration and with President Obama so that you can see a lot of people kind of forming a circle around General Petraeus and saying.

Look he should continue in the job despite the -- the report in the journal indicates there was a lot of inner agencies finger pointing yeah that's right out over the timeline that he released it was.

Unexpected.

By other agencies that weren't expecting him to do that.

And then within the CIA itself he clashed with his own counterterrorism person over.

Drone strikes apparently he wanted to aligned the strikes more with diplomatic efforts and the CIA were after targets.

And then on kind of a smaller but sort of notable scale here he intends to schmooze with subordinates by going running with -- he he would.

Suggested people kind of come along on his athletic -- he runs six or seven minute mile few people the CIA could keep up with him so even these kind of efforts.

By General Petraeus to get to know people within the CIA sort of fell flat -- Contentiousness undercut his -- relationships there and again from the Wall Street Journal's reporting.

It sounds as if General Petraeus wanted to stay on and then last Monday.

He got a call from the head of the Director of National Intelligence James clapper.

Yeah and there was there were fights going on over -- timeline should be out there which agency is looking particularly at the CIA.

In that this controversy on the hill -- Ben Ghazi.

And a General Petraeus didn't want the CIA to take the hit and so he advance this timeline -- it was.

The -- on the contrary expectations.

This -- top.

-- it's a fascinating read if you're into the minutia of all of this is so many of your.

Wsj.com.

It's laid out a really good article yeah -- back thanks John I -- well.
