The CIA showed lawmakers a video and it wasn't just any video it wasn't video -- by the security cameras at the consulate during the attack and Ben Ghazi.

The video is graphic at least one report is that the recording showed ambassador Stevens being dragged out.

Has been -- troopers -- is.

Is the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee and he joins us fantasy assassinating Greta -- first question whether this investigation.

Is it.

Political hours as a -- legitimate the inquiry by.

Can only say from our committee and where -- house select intelligence committee we deal with the classified information.

We have to follow facts I -- during the last couple weeks there's been a lot of issues out there a lot of media.

-- chairman Rogers and I made a decision not to be available until now.

So that we could follow all the facts and we had a hearing today that hearing this from the entire committee where we had the the deputy director FBI we had that directive that director of national -- clapper.

We had the thing the -- acting director -- morale of the CIA and we had the State Department and ambassador Kennedy.

There were a lot of facts we got time lines and there was a video and why the video was helpful who is that we could see firsthand real time.

What the issues were when the first attack occurred.

I'm from that perspective the first attack look that it was more of a situation that.

It was chaotic -- seem to be commanding control but we do know now that there were a lot of extremists and there is al-Qaeda connections and Bob.

The second attack though at at the -- With a lot more serious that seem to have command and control you have people who knew had to use weaponry he knew that that they were able to shoot mortars and Pitt may have a direct hit.

So we know now that that that was a serious situation.

I had done an eight daylight even at two cents more serious when the ambassador died at the freshman anymore serious meeting that it was a -- organized would that be better I would say that this second attack was a lot more organized by the bad guys.

The first attack there was no question they were there.

And we could see looting we conceded people who didn't have weapons we saw people that did have weapons and then they set fire to the buildings.

But the second attack was very well organized.

There's seem to be command and control and we know that there are Qaeda style affiliates there and we.

We are investigating and making sure that we bring these individuals to justice and we've identified.

A lot of the likes.

-- except that's what's troubling and and there's been a number of things troubling for one thing is that on that we know that that videotape at some point the CIA identified a Tunisian man.

Who is in -- going to Turkey he got stopped for every bad papers in the Turkish airport turned over to Tunisia that was sometime in September.

And the and we got word the FBI couldn't talk to that -- the administration made no phone calls the president made no phone calls a -- state made no coat no phone calls and about ten days ago.

A South Carolina US senator Lindsey Graham.

Made a phone call and a letter to the embassy and now got the FBI access and there's a lot collected terms of seriousness of purpose he investigated as your form prosecutor I defendant cases they should've had the present should immediate called the Tunisian embassy in that day and make sure way to access that -- right away well.

I don't disagree but I don't know the facts and you're talking about that I know.

That we have an aggressive investigation and we have people going to other countries.

You know you have to go into those countries and work -- -- country.

You have to identify where those individuals are and then one of the one of the key areas is -- the people who responsible and bring them.

Give me another example I mean for you -- not bat an end and that congress is different than -- -- closer but -- the FBI went over -- -- finally got into the -- consulate sometime about two weeks after the incident two weeks after the incident.

No doubt the the scene was content we -- I cannot -- absolutely.

That wasn't in late September and October 26 not the FBI but foreign policy dot com.

They paid journalist group went in -- October 26 and they found documents the FBI just walked over and never picked up so hot American people feel it -- secure that -- FBI.

How did any simulate that -- -- seriousness of purpose investor.

-- the first thing I have a lot of confidence in the FBI and CIA and I was still.

Match our investigators an RCA -- an international basis with any other government what is the let me -- I would say -- -- -- -- let's talk about the situation there.

Libya is -- -- was this an open area reminded people of the wild west we had people still driving around -- cars and with machine guns.

So you know it's it's a primitive area.

And it's a difficult -- and if this attack occurred.

That we had to move our people out of there there when the FBI got there there's probably a lot of evidence that they didn't captors that they didn't get -- there's a lot of evidence now that they have.

And I have confidence that they are tremendous investigators and they will do the job to always be mistakes.

Part -- it's it's apparent heart and his I mean the fact that these were killed and and dad got up you know but this August 16 cable.

We which they predicted how they're gonna die and they talked about the fact that there.

There are Islamic militias and al-Qaeda training camps in the area and they simply cannot defend against a corridor attacks of course the attacks -- on August 16 they sent that -- State Department warnings.

The FBI terms -- I think that they have done eat -- a poor job of interviewing the Tunisian.

-- -- -- -- -- They've got the situation where -- the top guy in and in the in our intelligence we of the CIA director and he's ever in a fair and apparently the attorney general doesn't think that's important not to tell his boss.

The president will win this man is supposed to be in charge of the of our intelligence at that some.

Well let me get -- -- -- the first thing and I heard the secretary Bolton before our ambassador Bolton talking about the fact -- not giving information.

We -- we have to learn from our history we knew that when Nixon and Watergate.

And the FBI we're involved with -- there was political.

So the policy is now -- a criminal investigation it does not go to -- to the administration now I think the national security I admit I.

-- just let me get excited and the first thing this started out as an investigation involving.

Cyber harassment that's how the investigation started that in a -- who the players word I didn't know that Petraeus when -- investigation started.

When the FBA started the investigation they went back to the US attorney's office in Tampa.

Where this occurred where the complaint that they did come from.

Now that's that's that's an issue with respect the FBI great political -- have a lot of -- instance didn't director.

-- the FBI -- and they conductor investigations and I was investigative prosecutor they get the facts to get the data they do the interviews and -- -- defense.

I can understand them.

From the public's point of view that it looks political and I can understand where people who think that I can only deal with the facts and data that we -- and the information that I have.

And as far as I'm concerned.

The deputy director came before our committee today.

He said it was not political they thought they give us a timeline on exactly how they're conducting the investigation and the investigation is still going forward.

That's -- flight -- -- it's really sunny day like Capitol Hill I had pretty much and and and the right we were out there now we're back again and now that.

He's the chairman of the committee and I as far as I'm sure senator Feinstein senator Chambliss were briefed over the process when we weren't session.

And now the entire committee got the information and this and she talked about -- about it General Petraeus are very very sad situation.

But it was a serious situation and is the fact that he did resign was important because of the fact he kept -- -- -- but let me say what I think's important.

It's not he was -- very competent qualified person.

And it's very it's very upsetting for he and his family his wife especially.

You know what is going on but he can't be about that one individual.

And if -- in fact he decided to stay -- the president wouldn't boot would not have accepted his resignation.

It's more about him.

And this would have continued on and not about the mission of the CIA who I feel are as good as anybody in the world and what they do getting information protect our country.

Cousin restrain highlight dear friend of my husband's and good comeback pillow talk but slotted a lot more time -- his real life investigations unit -- somebody loves you just.

-- you know they're thank you think just -- it does have a.
