-- hundreds of thousands of people on the East Coast still reeling from super storm sandy and many of them still try to pick up the pieces cleaning out -- just disaster stricken homes.

And -- Clemens joins us now with more on how war veterans have jumped into action to help these communities out one -- -- -- that morning and lanky guys.

Good morning to everybody at home -- hundreds of veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Have joined the relief effort for hurricane -- victims as part of a nonprofit group called team rubicon.

Team rubicon applies military experience and training to really help victims of disaster areas.

To bring order attend their chaotic situations and -- -- is better -- something they might be missing upon returning home.

Dozens of belonging to a group in service -- giving back to communities reeling from disasters.

The group was in place and ready to go before hurricane sandy even hit they have worked up to eighteen hours a day -- through the nor'easter.

To help remove debris -- stand in mold from homes flooded throughout the region.

The 29 year old co-founder of the group Jake -- of veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan itself.

Hopes that people see veterans can be positive forces with communities and can harness their abilities in constructive way yes.

These voters are not liabilities -- trees -- assets they have the ability to.

To rise up and and participate in leadership roles the community and really.

Helped turn this country around in and bring a lot of good into this into this country when we're desperately in need of good leadership in and and progress.

Team rubicon began some three years ago after that Haiti earthquake and really has helped in the aftermath of nearly fifty disasters everything from.

Earthquakes to tornadoes to humanitarian and refugee crises around the world team -- -- is focusing.

On the -- -- -- right now going home to home to help in any way possible it's.

That same personality -- guys that helped them join the military that's really giving them strength you know when disaster strikes they don't freeze up.

They are ready to take action so going to be put our hats -- boots on and enjoying them today in Iraq -- and see what -- -- It's probably the hardest hit because they had the fires right that's where they lost I think some fifty plus -- point.

Perhaps it quite yet a you -- -- that plane crashed few years after 9/11 so that communities and haven't spent.

Really as a lot of first responders and in that area as well.

And and that I you know I'm covering store promised three weeks Tuesday will be three weeks and I haven't been out there yet so it's one of the few places I haven't been -- cold weather mover through the Reverend -- -- they'll appreciate all the awareness your retail -- -- --
