Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Maria Molina from the fox -- weather center with your forecast for.

The northern plains as well as portions of the northwest and it has been a mess in the northwest.

Over the last couple of days we've had a number of storm systems moving on through producing areas of rainfall which isn't really too unusual for this time of the year we do tend to see this.

As -- wetter season are -- time of the year across portions of the Pacific northwest -- quite significant with some areas picking up or expecting to pick up.

Over five inches of rain anywhere from Seattle down I five into Portland so of course flooding is a huge concern out here.

We do also anticipate a lot of heavy snowfall over a foot of a possible across the cascades.

As bad news for anyone trying to do any traveling in an out of the passes but that of course is welcome news for skiers especially with things getting -- -- the corner.

Temperatures not only too far off from when he should be at this time of the year in the -- for Seattle Portland Medford even -- into reading.

Across northern Rockies upper fifties in Billings in Casper and also in Salt Lake City we still have to deal -- -- -- that heavy rainfall across Seattle and Portland could see that -- In yellow and orange has pretty much significant rainfall coming down -- very -- rain coming down and also seeing that snowfall.

Moving to portions of the cascades with this storm system you're also gonna have to deal with some strong winds over 3040 miles per hour gusting stronger than that of course.

So we do have some wind advisories and -- win there by threes in place across portions of the northwest.

And take a look at the -- radar this activity is forecast to remain in place as we -- into your Tuesday and even into -- Wednesday so we do have a prolonged period of time.

-- we're going to be dealing with storm after storm such as a storm train here impact in the northwest.

But a lot of precipitation and eventually some of that snowfall -- it for an off towards east.

Across portions of the northern Rockies as we head into Wednesday one of -- busiest travel days.

Of the year the day before Thanksgiving so not good news out here but again for skiers being used to be like to do that especially with the holiday coming up.

Have a -- everyone I'm meteorologist Maria Molina.

But the -- extreme weather senator.
