But -- behind the scenes it was fueled by the Hollywood version of its -- tiger mom which was a dangerously competitive.
You know overwhelming stage mother and you hear those stories now about -- winters.
On modern family and -- sound I mean that that is exactly.
What what it was like -- -- when did you realize this wasn't normal.
Point well he don't know heart of my life was normal at all so.
Everything right compared to my friends wasn't the same I mean I was off.

Where my mom would be driving along and -- would pull over the side of the road and she would say to my sister.
Get out you know -- disgust me.
Get out of the car I don't ever want to see you again and go find another family.
Your lazy you're disgusting you don't deserve to be part of our family and she would shove her out of the car.
And we would drive off and the only guy as a little kid at first I used to scream and cry and -- critical -- from sister.
And you know she would -- longer and longer and circle longer and longer before she got backing -- And I knew even though I was the fevered Childs and I was the successful child she really pushed both of us in school in -- acting in everything.
And we just a different personalities and I was someone who wanted to perform.
And shine and I -- -- -- so I naturally you know didn't did better at those things my sister was you know you have kids.
Some of the -- they're just different and she never wanted to do it -- she became.
You know the one who you -- -- back into the shadows and was really neglected and so.
You know I anyways so he even though I knew I was the -- one I knew the.
I did you know instead of walking on the street stumbling I wish he would so that my mother companion in this whole scene is very dramatic and it's reopening to the book and it sort of.
Tells the whole street the difference between what you saw.
I'm little house that green in the McDonald's in -- Barbie commercials and what was really going you'll see you talk about too I mean uses sizzle with us yeah I mean it's not a happy and know you have and that's there are feeling does come to -- to a very explosive -- and shocking and.
And you know because of all the circumstances around that and what comes out of that in the decisions I made as a result.
You know I didn't talk to anyone about my story for a long time but when I finally -- you know people -- reached out to me.
Friends people -- email meet strangers on Twitter and just said.
You know I had a similar story and the people -- industry and it's not really that similar other than the fact that they had a major trauma of some tight.
And that they decided.
This can either paralyzed when he.

Because I didn't know if I could parent -- I didn't know if I can really do it and you know I sort of.
Writing this book was part of that process of just closing the book on this learning from and I don't deny it.
You know it's there but I've learned from this childhood and and now I have -- beautiful children loving has been really happy -- million.
