It's got some breaking news now we mentioned -- a moment ago we're just hearing the Egyptian president this is Mohamed Morsi now.

The man who took over -- for Hosni Mubarak he is telling reporters.

That and ended the fighting between Israel and Hamas is imminent that we gives no evidence to back that up.

This is happening now is Hillary Clinton leaves Cambodia.

Traveling with the president heading to the region shall be in Jerusalem.

To try and broker -- peace deal here the president's deputy national security advisor telling reporters what the White House.

Is looking for in the it.

Ultimately what we want to achieve.

Is two states living set aside -- security.

And that it's going to be much harder to achieve if you're going to have conflicts like what we've seen in Gaza.

Which make it that much more difficult to pursue what is already incredibly difficult challenge.

So we need to have walked in the door here of -- restoring calm to the region and then address some of the underlying challenges.

This is not easy here's a colleague Dennis the former chief of staff to Benjamin Netanyahu and there's a slight delay in our connection -- -- thank you.

For being here and I just want to get to the top news that we're getting at this hour is there a cease fire that's imminent.

Not yet right now we've got thousands of soldiers on the border.

Ready to go in in order to defend ourselves from the rain of missiles that's been hitting our cities including here in Jerusalem.

Where just about an hour -- few missiles came -- -- were ready to defend ourselves the only acceptable result of this situation.

Is -- total dismantle.

Of their ability.

Of Hamas to shoot more missiles on Israeli cities what does it mean that Hillary Clinton is going to Jerusalem.

I think that's good -- I think the main objective -- to be.

To dismantle Hamas at the end of the day in the longer term.

We won't be able to have.

Terror leveraging -- next are up next us Hamas is sort of al-Qaeda type organization.

They have what objective -- the wipe out the west to wipe out.

Israel it's unacceptable and we will defend ourselves it right now in the short term the immediate need is to dry up that well.

A missile launchers and missiles that keep on.

Being shot -- us -- Hillary Clinton be going to Jerusalem Ramallah and Cairo if there was no deal in the works.

If there was not about to happen.

Well I think there is something going on in the -- -- I agree bill I think though that anything less.

Of total cease fire now.

And the dismantling the ability.

To begin shooting on us two weeks from now is unacceptable there's no point.

If just two or three weeks from -- again they'll start shooting at us I want to be very clear seven years ago we handed over a 100% of Gaza.

To the Palestinians.

And they -- immediately an independent.

Al-Qaeda -- state a Hamas state that immediately started shooting missiles on us then.

And to this very day.

This all has to end we cannot accept a terrorist regime next us few hours ago the leader of Hamas was speaking in Cairo he says that Israel.

And specifically Benjamin Netanyahu was bluffing.

What do you say to that.

I think Benjamin -- you know is determined to protect us.

I think that Hamas who started without any provocation this whole big round.

Is killing its own children by hiding missile launchers with in the hospitals within kindergartens there's something unheard of is that a new sinister tactic ended and that they're killing their own children in order to kill Israelis.

We have to stop -- I hope and believe that prime minister Netanyahu.

Will protect Israeli nation you have said several times and just this interview with the Israelis and Netanyahu one -- to make sure that.

Hamas can no longer fire any of these missiles or rockets -- a Ronnie made.

Or locally made in the Gaza Strip.

At this point in the conflict how close can you say Israel has come to eliminating that threat.

Well we've made some good progress taken out hundreds of missile launchers and a tremendous amount of infrastructure.

A terror infrastructure.

Also fortunately the head of the terror organization.

Was killed.

However that's not enough because if we just pull out and -- some sort of cease fire within a few days they'll get organized and begin shooting again.

We -- either have to go in and clean it up.

Or demand a dismantling of the Hamas I just want to be a bit more specific on this answer are you 50% of the way there.

Are you 75.

Are you 90% there.

Well here's the problem bill I think we're 50% that there but they keep on importing new missile launchers -- -- missiles.

From a Egypt that comes through -- run.

Through Egypt and then into Gaza Strip if we don't create a buffer zone if we don't put a wall there that stops this.

Constant inflow of missiles even if we've reached 50% the way it'll be reversed and and -- -- as if we've done nothing.

So we have to stop that influx of of missile launchers and missile.

Into the -- Right now and on that point in this is the last question I wanna get to in the we've got to get to some other news especially as -- relates to Libya.

Which I know is front and center in your mind as well but is this not what Benjamin now and get us Netanyahu wanted.

In order to get to the president of Egypt newly crowned there to bomb.

To take a position on the Gaza Strip and prevent further weapons and missiles from going in the Gaza and also the tester and iron dome system.

A system that is that is already proving to be very successful in the same time you show that Hamas has rockets.

In his possession that were made in Iran.

And that can fly 45 miles in the air and hit neighborhoods in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and then you get the US present over the weekend supporting Israel publicly.

Is that is -- four for four even five for five for Benjamin Netanyahu strategy in this conflict.

I think it's a very good achievement I'm happy that this.

President Obama supports us in supporting the right side of this conflict because there is right and wrong.

Think at this point in time is yes for -- take responsibility on its border to stop.

Any further inflow of missiles.

And we -- fit.

At some point say enough is enough and at that point in time is now.

We're not gonna accept any more missiles.

On our own children here in Israel enough -- Bennett thank you of former chief of staff Benjamin Netanyahu live there think you know Jerusalem thank you mark for the bank.
