Because nearly 100 house Republicans are now formally opposing ambassador Susan Rice -- potential nomination.
As an admin made yet as secretary of state saying that she quote misled Americans on -- -- -- attacks this as a group of female democratic lawmakers.
Are slamming those Republicans for even criticizing rights watch this.
All of.
Things that have they have.
Disliked about things that have gone on in this administration they have never called a male.
Unqualified.
Not right not trustworthy I don't recall it ever happening.
They didn't even say that about General Petraeus and they all up in arms about.
So there is a clean -- In my opinion.
It clear that sexism.
And racism that goes with these kind of -- -- -- made back unfortunately Senator McCain and others -- This is shaping up to B -- quite a battle back to New Hampshire now Republican senator Kelly -- -- a says that she would put a hold on the nomination of Susan Rice until some important questions are answered.
-- think about those charges.
From congresswoman sides.
Very disappointing nothing could be farther from the truth.
I mean the reality is is that it's really important that we ask.
The serious questions that need to be answered if ambassador rice is going to be nominated be secretary of state that's an incredibly important position.
And we need someone who's going to do more than just repeat talking points we need someone who is going to ask serious -- show a level of independence.
And I don't understand why she went on every major news network.
And didn't ask if she had nothing to do -- Ben -- which we know is the case.
Why aren't you sending the secretary stayed on there why -- went -- the secretary defense why not the director of the CIA.
So.
This is very important that we get to the bottom of this also a you know I think.
Was it racist or sexist when thirteen Democrats voted against Condoleezza Rice.
Now our job in the senate is to look at each person's qualifications.
Particularly for an important job like secretary of state and by the way commentators like Dana Milbank and Maureen Dowd is that not exactly conservative commentators are raising confer concerns about her performance in qualification you.
-- and and disappointing to hear that it is and we hope that we're at a time as as women and of people of any caller right -- judge on the job that you've done.
And not based on on your -- or on your gender.
I mean I would think that even Susan Rice would look at this situation say you know what let's leave all that.
On the table because that's not what this is about let's talk about my abilities to do the job because I'm sure she feels that she's very qualified.
To do that job.
-- yeah very disturbing I think that that this is what's being leveled and I would think it diminishes her career.
That it's even being raised by some of these Democrats.
-- you know in the house.
-- I think it is.
It is very.
Disappointing and diminishing because.
Women.
Men we all want to be judged on her qualifications and performance and the criticisms that have been raised -- about her performance.
And her and and I think it's fair to ask about her qualifications which as I've been presented already been raised by other commentators.
This is the job of the senator in advising consent on the president's nominations.
And won as important as a secretary of state to our country.
You know again I would point now.
Don't you think it's important that a secretary of state be someone who's going to go.
More than just get on a television show and repeat talking points yet and these are questions that need to be answered before she would be and by the way the president hasn't nominated area.
They'll be confirmation hearings we will hear her explanation for why she went on every single show and obviously we now know I represented what occurred in -- Ghazi.
I just find it that one last thing because say one of it in on another network this morning I heard someone say.
Well this is a huge mistake for Republicans.
To go after Susan Rice in any way.
Because they just lost an election they lost the email -- they lost the black Latin America and -- what a huge mistake the optics are terrible of this.
What your reaction to that.
Up my reaction is that.
Again it's.
Really important if someone think about it let's let's take it out of this election context if anyone if it had been a George Bush.
Ambassador to the UN that went on every single.
News network and misrepresented the facts about a terrorist attack and didn't raise serious questions.
Will not be fair question that we would ask if we turned it around.
And I think the American people what exactly does to make sure that we carefully vet.
These positions so I think we're doing our our job and you know we get a ticket back to the big picture.
I'm really hoping that we need to get to the bottom half of what happened why wasn't that consulate secured.
Why wasn't -- -- in the military respond in time -- still having gotten answers to those questions senator.
Thank you knew that you would think that ambassador raise -- wanna know why she was told to go on with less than complete emperor he's not only angry about that as well -- -- -- know what she thinks about it you would think.
Thank you so much senator -- and thank you for your.
