So there's an announcement about the new health care law expected today from the U Obama administration while.

More governors say that they go public saying that they will not put the law when action.

At least sixteen states so far this as reports surface at the Health and Human Services Department will step in.

Well I've been opposed to this legislation's.

From its inception as a physician.

I have felt that this is not the way we need to go in this in this country and I do believe that we need accessible and affordable health care but certainly not what has been proposed by the federal government the question is why -- It is it money is an implementation hour is it.

I think there's several reasons number one is I think it what has been proposed as unworkable.

And of course we have the we we've we've had the choice of whether or not to set up a state run exchange -- partnership.

Or whether or not the federal government was set up -- federal facilitated the exchange actually I don't believe that a federal facilitated exchanges constitutional.

It is it is an unworkable law.

Well let me let me first answer that first question it will cause if we set up a state exchange they will give us money to set it up.

But those who -- in the exchange have to -- for that with fees and taxes.

I and in Alabama we estimate out cost the people of Alabama approximately fifty million dollars annually.

And we just can't afford that.

Do you have any idea what the health and human services director will say today Kathleen civilians.

I have no idea what they'll say you know there that.

They obviously.

I think did.

-- we have half the states that refused to set up this data exchange.

It makes it very difficult for them to implement this law it is it is not a forgone conclusion.

That this all that is been passed that it will be implemented it is not a foregone conclusion and that will occur.
