Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Maria -- -- -- from the fox extreme weather center with your forecast for the northwest and also the northern plains and across the plains.
And the midwest it is extremely mild today it's a beautiful day out there we're looking -- relatively quiet conditions as far as precipitation goes now much going on.
With that and temperatures again very warm 71 over in Rapid City that's.
That's South Dakota.
72 over North Platte and of course is the month of November so some of these temperatures are up to 25 degrees above what's average for this time of the year and get out and enjoy it.
It won't be lasting too much longer because we see out last year across parts of Montana like that high temperature at 41 in his -- 53 over in Boise that cooler air mass is actually gonna continue to push eastward.
As we head into your Thanksgiving Day and also in to -- Black Friday to.
Wrap up the week here so we're looking at that cooler air mass moving eastbound and bringing in some changes across portions of the planes again enjoy today.
Portions of Seattle Portland Medford a little cooler today temperatures widespread into the forties.
And we're still continuing to see more areas of rain across Seattle Portland down in -- northern parts.
A California into the city of San Francisco so it's just been days and days a -- -- of moisture is moving on and and I see get into the mountains of course that rain actually falls as snow -- because we're a little bit cooler as we head into higher elevations.
And it's still windy out here with gusts easily over 3040 miles per hour so we could be looking at some very tricky.
Traveling conditions not just along the coastal areas but even as we head eastward across northern parts of the Rockies.
In Montana and also in the seat of Idaho's a drive carefully everyone we could be seeing some delays.
And maybe even some road closures -- -- right now I haven't really heard of much of that's.
And then as we head into your Thanksgiving Day we're gonna have a break -- on this precipitation so thankfully.
For Thanksgiving be looking much quieter but then by Friday another storm system will be arriving bringing in more areas of heavy rain.
Across the Seattle area you can see right there on the future -- starting to approach the city of Seattle.
Otherwise have a great everyone I'm meteorologist Mario Molina for the fox -- weather center -- have a happy Thanksgiving.
