Came out of this for many of us the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade brings back memories of the movie miracle on 34 street.

You make you feel like you're a kid again with Christmas just around the corner our own Peter Johnson junior is live at the parade.

With -- he's thinking this year good morning Peter.

I always thinking of clay you know I didn't -- -- on and off for the last fifty years you may have done to your own -- in places like Detroit.

From Philadelphia or Chicago or used -- Seattle for me my wife and daughters in person or on TV this is Thanksgiving.

I remember cold mornings on 34 street that -- my mother and father is we don't.

Paper cups of hot chocolate -- we waited for bullwinkle.

And underdog and smokey the -- as they floated into Herald Square downtown.

My daughters run -- lanchin my wife forty years later waited sponge Bob and Pete it's June.

And I think I remember -- them.

Each year we relive the excitement.

The balloons flying as high as our dreams they characters alive and dancing and the wind the longing for the Thanksgiving meal I can't wait.

The warm strong hand of our loved ones felt even do this excuse me.

The appreciation for a time a meal a day the gratitude for a life spent together.

The Brandon -- as the glanced behind the kiss the reunion -- family and friends the intersection of time passed and time to.

I've thought -- -- thank god for the gift of the harvest it's not lessened for the winter ahead.

We give thanks to -- wounded warriors unfaithful spouses for courageous cops and fearless firefighters but most of all.

For ordinary heroes who overcome the perils of modern life and help keep our families together.

We thank god in each other for the quiet super men and women who teach our children who take care of our youngest and oldest.

-- cook our food we'll pick our crops who -- to our souls.

They star in the most successful reality show.

Ever ever on the year and American life.

Inspired by the book this Iraq some of us attends service on this day and saying.

Now thankfully all -- god.

With hearts and hands and voices and some of those lined the parade -- of America.

-- -- -- living rooms and stare in amazement at the balloons we left with the clowns over here and we tap our feet.
