Welcome back everybody less than three weeks since election -- to divide a divide is widening not between Democrats and Republicans however.
The divide is between conservatives Tea Party types and more traditional Republicans sometimes called establishment.
Peggy -- once again -- I think the -- Tea Party is gonna have to look at itself the Tea Party style.
Of rage.
Is not one that wins over converts and makes people leaned forward toward them and say I wanna listen to you.
OK -- listen to Laurie -- defending the conservative wing of the party.
The -- of the Tea Party folks and energy that they brought today instead of four Republicans have been a disaster right now.
And you wonder why three for three million fewer Republicans showed up to the voting booths this election cycle Kimberly and we talked last.
Lot of other let me -- -- outside for two hours in New York right new might.
-- was getting it watered down the drain.
I mean why did the people come out why because they weren't impassioned and -- about Mitt Romney did you know is -- -- know what he stood for.
They weren't certain what his economic plan more than what we're gonna keep prom -- -- -- if he goes senator like Bob said.
He did a good idea -- can.
Can these two wings of the party find a middle ground.
I think so but I don't -- -- -- got to be a middle ground but their basic principles that everybody can agree -- I like the big tent thing and I think -- been variations of the Tea Party since 17760.
Look at 1992 election when Ross Perot.
Ran that there -- similar principles -- state which was government spending and it wasn't so much about social issues at the time.
I think that there are ways we just had to match up better candidates.
And that that about -- across.
You put your finger and you go back to go back to Barry Goldwater virtually those rocks on the establishment battles versions of the conservatives in 1964.
-- there is there's always been somebody who stepped forward to take the mantle of the big -- Ronald Reagan -- -- the class example.
You don't have to abandon your principles for a minute to be a more pragmatic political force.
And that's a divot but it takes some voice to make that pretty clear you can't have all these Republican desperate to try and negotiate.
You need somebody in the probably here you don't have to -- out.
-- -- -- -- -- DeDe left unite so that they they coalesced.
The left it I -- -- I don't and the right here amazing too because as Bob knows better than anyone.
It was a presidential campaign with the if you really help that of the candidates they really say hey listen we got to focus on just getting this guy elected you kind of -- pretty much on your own.
And I think they were somewhat my opinion somewhat in awe Barack Obama what he's done -- such a young age he was never really.
One of the guys who's been there for forty years and sites around like senator dole and McCain.
But I was pretty much in law.
Of in the mid term elections of with the Tea Party yet.
That's have you ever seen a very violent that even this election cycle -- Tea Party real strength Bob was was it the down ticket.
Well if you do don't think it's probably someone -- let's remember there were touches many people who voted in Detroit felt there were in 2010 where they really had an impact.
I don't take away from their from their emotional.
A big grabbing hold this fiscal issues but it does have a problem because it is on a social agenda attached to that.
But beyond that I think that -- already has it it's anybody represents to me the -- water rights of the 64 and somehow they did they got together.
Richard Nixon pulled together but I don't know how.
But one you don't on president pressed my house there was of a period of time for about three weeks were thought Obama was gonna lose and lose -- senate and the house of -- Republican that's geared to do.
Heck out of us all of us out and that and that was a that was a period when all of a sudden they -- wedeman we get to more people like.
Alito on the Supreme Court.
Well and I think power is.
A barrier -- -- and an unseeded not incumbent is very difficult it doesn't happen very often we usually -- our president the second chance.
But -- I think that Obama's language on fair shot and fair share.
Was persuasive enough to a lot of people but I think that could have been met with.
Fair shot fair share -- you know what this government and the -- that it's going it's holding you back.
And the reason that you -- I have you consider some lower middle classes because you can't get ahead.
Because the government is holding you back that what that does charity event at Atlanta -- accidentally madder -- him yet.
Without a couple of major -- clubs over the last two election cycles the senate very well could be Republican and there are a lot of Tea Party people who did win -- its absolute.
-- they've been a commendable for -- does not yet.
And motivation -- mantown.
Raising money getting their get out the vote they have been very good they're doing better.
In many respects spend the rest of the Republican he sometimes they pick up the diagnosis but did not -- a pop back to the Tea Party candidates filed should have won -- -- but as it -- It shouldn't have been put through the tank.
This that take getting in -- way off from Obama's organizational skills and his campaign that I have never seen a in the mindset right now -- does it because here's here's the issue I brought up you noted that any charges should have been the coronation I don't Taylor and what I said I said earlier in the show.
If -- Tea Party stuck with their original plan of fiscal conservative values.
The senate would likely be Republican because he's too.
Gee this is this year who decided to go.
On and I'll talk about -- -- -- in America ever mention female body parts again if you're Republican political.
What about about the price they dominated in Nevada and end and those of Delaware eight.
So I wore Colorado and those are -- that should have gone republic has got a tricky issue getting emails if you are Republican and gynecology she should mention in the press number two -- simple as this.
Have a screening process for candidates more than great guy nice guy yet.
Say it will kind of experience do you have and put them through a candidate boot camp.
For example if you watch the times in which they talked about rape and talked about abortion it was unbelievable.
How.
How inexperience they looked a little question so Elena went and hit -- and maybe get a party platform that doesn't make -- so -- on abortion.
We got to leave it there and I believe it.
