Let's bring in Jim.

About what happened in Ben -- at the consulate in Libya and the reaction to all of that Jim -- Ambassador rice you seems to be on point to be the next secretary of state or at least the nominee from this particular minister from the Obama administration.

And you believe it and there were others that there's about a double standard apparently applied to the reaction to getting things incorrect early on can you help.

This can I tonight as -- thanks thanks Stephen yes this has been that that's that's the quite -- due to a lot of people.

As we all know on September 16 ambassador Susan Rice -- UN ambassador of the went on all five of the Sunday shows to assure the American people.

That that the attack on September 11 was -- you know random violence mob violence flash mob.

And so on.

And that story has -- came unglued over the next with the last two months or so in causing quite a bit of controversy and senators like.

Lindsey Graham and John McCain saying you know what somebody who could be that wrong about that important story just ought not to be.

Promoted to a to a higher office and -- asked this sort of sat there until after the election when the president had his press conference said listen I'm -- if they want hacker that you come after me.

It was sort of -- high noon kind of moment and it does seem as you say that the president is intent on.

-- pointing her out to be secretary of state which means yes we can confirmed by the US senate okay that's that's the back story.

Now -- as her nomination is looming it hasn't been announced.

But as it seems like is being announced that it -- that lead the Congressional Black Caucus and others in the media have.

Launch sort of a preemptive strike against any a -- a possible polish you might have saying that listen if you oppose her.

Then you're -- -- guilty of racism.

And this was this is that -- quite emphatic point that.

The commercial -- caucus made that the Washington Post had a big editorial.

Pretty much in endorsing in which they cited that well look you know more than half of them were Republican to sign a letter.

The closing Susan riser from states of the confederacy that's -- 150 years ago you think -- lieutenant.

Not the dwelling on that now that they -- our.

And that -- the accusation that Republicans.

-- Using racism on Susan Susan Rice is ridiculous for many reasons including the fact that the last two.

Secretaries of state appointed by a Republican president -- George W.

Bush were of course.

-- Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice both of whom are African American so.

There's plenty of argument why Susan Rice should be appointed the president has a right to pick his -- -- and so on and you know -- -- -- qualified to -- that's great.

That's a good discussion have.

And there's plenty of argument about whether or not she justice had showed bad judgment and in and lost credibility in and damaged -- possible future effectiveness on the world stage.

By getting things so wrong back on September 16.

There's pleasant and a great debate -- -- there and I frankly think she probably would get confirmed in the hands -- -- Democrats control senate.

But to do to throw the word racism around just because you have questions about how she handled.

An incident back on September 11 and and -- and the subsequent.

The discussion of it did that that was somehow -- to simply to challenge her on her.

Bill is a diplomat automatically equals racism as I get as the media have been so eager to -- I think that's outrageous and I think that if the media were doing their job -- really go to the president President Obama that as a citizen do you really don't agree with the Congressional Black Caucus.

And the liberal media that attacking Susan Rice on her credentials and credibility and effectiveness and and and useful.

Abilities going forward you really agree Mr.

President that's racism and I don't think they will ask you a question there's -- sort of two pointed.

But I think if they and they they don't that's a sign that the media are tacitly accepting.

This attack on.

Possible opponents of Susan Rice and add that to me is a -- -- case of bias.

Jim -- to thank you very much share making them viewpoint on this and I -- this is going to be something -- -- talking about.
